UP for auction is a 1997 F150 XL LONG BED 2WD pickup truck. This is a great running truck, with super gas mileage: 4.2 V6 with 5 speed manual transmission, truck starts FIRST SHOT and runs perfect; clutch pulls strong. This is an XL model with NO power windows or locks and NO A/C (factory delete), however power steering, power brakes. OEM radio replaced with PIONEER detachable CD. Front brakes and rear brake lines replaced 08/2010, tires have good tread, about 85% life left. All controls, switches, and gauges work properly. Truck comes with TOW PKG and BRAKE CONTROLLER. Comes with 60/40 bench seat, cloth and there are NO RIPS OR TEARS (could use a good cleaning). I am NOT the original owner, and purchased it recently to landscape my home, after doing some small repairs, and it worked great. Registration expired: I no longer have any use for the truck anymore (although I am still keeping insurance on it until sold). Truck runs perfect and has a valid NJ inspection until FEBRUARY 2012. all bumpers are straight and no major dents.NOTE: I have installed OEM front license plate bracket since taking the picture below, hence, you will be able to put on a front license plate. Truck can stand a good cleaning on the inside: it is dusty from driving mulch, leaves, etc. Truck bed has been "coated". The only issue with the truck is some rust. Alhough mainly around rear wheels well and quarters, it is extensive (please see photographs), however, it does not affect driveability in any way. Tailgate is solid and opens freely and correctly. Also, you are buying a 12 year old truck, with 186,XXX miles, there may be a squeek or rattle here and there, however, truck runs strong.
