This car has recently received new front struts and strut mounts, new front tires, rebuilt carburator, a new starter and much much more. The car has been completely safety inspected and is ready go! I am a California Auto Dealer since 2003, Please call me with questions at 949-285 8 0 1 1 Exterior wise, the car has received a brand new paint job in it's original color and it looks great! It's not a show car quality paint job, but overall a good driver quality paint job. The car receives many compliments every time I drive it! Before paint, the car was mostly disassembled and has new rubbers all around including, fender beading, turn signal seals, all latches, windshield seal, trunk and engine deck lid seals etc. If it was not replaced, then a good original was removed and put back on. It has all new chrome strips on the outside, brand new front bumper and good original rear bumper and new running boards. The original chrome wheels have a few spots where the chrome is coming off on the edges, but are overall in nice condition. Hub caps are in good shape but not brand new. The convertible top is older but doesn't have any holes. Has a few small spots where it is worn at the fold points but will be fine for a while. Interior wise, the car has brand new seat covers front and rear and brand new carpeting front to back. The original dash has a dash cap on it and the original steering wheel and and horn button are in good shape. The optional simulated wood face dash board looks good and was an option for all Sunbug models. Windshield wipers work, horn works and all running and driving lights function as they should. Heater blows cold as well! It has a Sony cassette player and AM/FM stereo system that sounds good. The headliner is in fair shape and is not falling, it has a few stains that can be scrubbed off with a little effort. All the glass is in good condition with no cracks. Right rear window regulator is stripped where the crank goes on and I am including a new regulator with the car. The front door panels are brand new as well as the window cranks. Overall, the interior is nice! Mechanically, the engine has been rebuilt with about 2500 miles on it. I have the receipt for this rebuild as shown in video. I have also recently had the carburator rebuilt and it runs excellent. The transmission shifts very well and it easily goes into all gears and doesn't pop out or grind at all. The clutch has around 15 to 20% life remaining. I can have a new one installed for buyer if desired. The brakes have all been inspected and are in excellent condition. Master cylinder is in good shape and brake pedal sits high. It has brand new front struts and strut mounts as well which wasn't cheap, but makes a world of difference in how it drives! Also front tires are brand new from VW shop and rears have over 50% remaining. The floor pans have been patched in a few spots in rear and is solid for driving. It doesn't leak any oil and runs and drives very well. All lights work. This car is priced right and I am looking to sell it. With all the work that has gone into this car, it would be hard to duplicate for this price. I am asking 6500 for the car on a but it now. The transmission shifts very well and it easily goes into all gears and doesn't pop out or grind at all. The clutch has around 15 to 20% life remaining. I can have a new one installed for buyer if desired. The brakes have all been inspected and are in excellent condition. Master cylinder is in good shape and brake pedal sits high. It has brand new front struts and strut mounts as well which wasn't cheap, but makes a world of difference in how it drives! Also front tires are brand new from VW shop and rears have over 50% remaining. The floor pans have been patched in a few spots in rear and is solid for driving. It doesn't leak any oil and runs and drives very well. All lights work.
