Vehicle Detail
I am selling a 1956 Triumph TR3. The motor does run. The body panels are in poor condition with lots of rust holes as you can see in the pictures. The tub is in in much better conditon with little rust. The battery compatment is even fairly good. The car had wire wheels as the lug bolts are short to accomadate the wire wheel adapters. I do not have a title for the car, but one can be obtained by going thru the following process: I must submint an affidate to the state about the car, obtain an insurance bond the clears the state from any lawsuits and then I will be issued a title that is stamped 'bonded'. After three months, this restriction will be lifted. If you want me to get the title it will cost the succesful buyer an additional $200 for the bonding and state fees. I will then have a title in my name that can transferred to the buyer. This process will take at least three months. You state may have a similar procedure for obtaining a lost title. If you take some of the parts from my other TR3 that I am selling on Ebay, you could end up with an easy restoration. (not that any restoration is easy, but this would give you good body panels to use on this car ). Not shown in the pictures is a speedometer, tach and windshield. The gas tank is missing and the steering sector has been taken out of the car, but it it sitting in the trunk. The steering wheel is missing. ??? The hood and trunk hinges are broken. As you can see in the pictures, the car is a 'small mouth' version. There is a second 'small mouth' front end included and a hood. The second small mouth front end has a very good grill included. The hard top needs a little TLC, but it is intact. The seats are in fiar conditon as well. On Sep-18-10 at 06:22:19 PDT, seller added the following information: PLESAE NOTE THAT THIS CAR MAY NOT BE A 1956. WHEN I LOOKED AT THE VIN, IT WAS COVERED WITH BLACK PAINT AND I COULD NOT SEE ALL OF THE NUMBERS. I AM TOLD IT IS NEWER BECAUSE OF THE REAR LIGHTS AND THE OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLES. I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT THE CORRECT YEAR OF THE CAR. I HAVE ADDED A PICTURE OF THE CORRECT VIN THAT IS ON THE CAR. IF ANYONE CAN ACCESS THE TRIUMPH DATA BASE I WOULD APPRECITE KNOWING THE CORRECT YEAR OF THE CAR. SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION. DAVE On Sep-18-10 at 09:31:05 PDT, seller added the following information: THIS CAR IS A 1958 TR3A. IT WAS MADE IN APRIL OF THAT YEAR. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL PEOPLE HELP ME OUT WITH THE CORRECT INFORMATION. THANK YOU ALL. . DAVE
