Vehicle Detail

This was my sister's car since 1981. She is now in senior housing and had to sell the car, so I am helping. It was restored about that time and has been used very little over the past 30 years. It has the original 289v2, but was bored out .30 and has Edelbrock manifold and Holley dual feed. It has tuned exhaust manifolds into dual exhausts (new), Sounds and runs great. The body panels are mostly good, other than minor rust on doors and trunk lid. Has the directionals in hood, black power roof, water temp and oil pressure gauges under the am radio. The top is new and the tranny was rebuilt, both in the past 5 years. I have driven it on a couple of long trips and put about 500 miles on it this summer. Electrical is good too. It has manual steering. But this is a project car and needs $3,000-$4,000 in frame work and floor pans. A professional restoration place indicated 2 torque boxes and 3 of 4 frame rails and most of the floor. It needs fresh paint. And there is about $1,000 in interior parts needed, like a tear in the driver seat, some chrome panels with surface rust, wrong mirrors, door locks need adjusting. Everything is here, glass is good, though the rear side windows need new channel guides. Has new tires, too. In a nutshell, this is a good project for someone who can do frame work and paint. The rest is pretty minor to do. It needs a lot of tweaking and adjustments, but most of it is minor and repairable for most backdoor mechanics. The real issue is the frame work and I cannot do this level of work. I will sell this car, so you should give it your best shot. This car has never been titled, and I do have the history since 1981. Thanx.
