The previous owner traded us this for a new Kia Soul! He upfitted it with the following items: Chevy 350 V8 Corbeau Bucket Seats Custom Wheels Almost new BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A Tires 3R Racing Exhaust and Custom Headers 4XRAC front jack mount and jack New in box billet aluminum gauge cluster New in box EZ Wire harness kit New shocks Optima Battery with quick-disconnect switch Diamond Plate interior door panels and side steps Here's the good: Mechanically the truck is solid. It goes into gear with no issues, steers fine, and tracks fairly straight down the road. The brakes feel good, if not a bit "spongy" by a modern vehicle's standards. Our FJ's suspension is clearly designed for off-road use as is the rest of the truck and this is noticeable during at-speed turns and over larger bumps, again primarily at speed. Inside the heat works and the fan blows. The emergency brake works as well and the mechanical vents in each foot-well work also. Here's the not-so-good: The paint job leaves a bit to be desired. It appears to have been a home spray job, not a bad one, but not great either. The color thickness varies and there are runs here and there. The interior is unfinished. There is surface rust on the underside of the roof. The painted metal surfaces inside show the wear and tear to be expected with a 24 year old vehicle. While you can definately drive this daily, it would be best viewed as a project truck. It needs some TLC to be at its best. Bottom line though, you'll be hard-pressed to find a more solid starter FJ than this one. If you have any questions or require additional information please contact Chad at 330-459-1348.
