1970 ford maverick. my daughter was trying to build this car and make it as close to a show car as possible on a budget. she is selling this car due to wanting to finish a pro street maverick that i gave her. this car is very very nice. this is not a thrown together car. the car started out as a very clean iowa body. it had a running and driving V8 302 with C-4 transmission. we sold the drivetrain. AS EVERYONE KNOWS, ONE OF THE MOST EXSPENSIVE PARTS OF ANY CAR BUILD OR RESTORATION IS THE COST OF PAINT AND BODY WORK. this body was sent out to a very reputable paint shop in the chicagoland area. this car was painted at a cost of 5900.00 the material bill was 1295.00 ALONE. the car was painted HOUSE OF COLORS TANGELO PEARL ORANGE. the paint is stunning. it stands out, i mean its blinding. the color is simply amazing. now there is alot of people that you see on the car sites that talk about cheap affordable paint jobs, i have seen a few of the blogs myself about people getting cars painted for 500.00 and getting nice paint jobs from the local maaco or a buddys garage. those paint jobs are great, some of them look really really nice. if thats what a person can afford then thats a great way to go. god bless those people who can do that type of work on a very affordable budget. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE PAINT JOBS. this is a very very nice respectable paint job, its on the higher end side of paint jobs. all of the panels were painted seperatly, the tub was painted seperatly, all the glass and wireing and hardware was removed for painting. all of the stainless has been polished and is in excellent condition. the glass is all excellent. she has new carpet, bolts, wireing shocks, suspention parts, new front disc brake assembly, everything is tagged and bagged. the car has some NOS parts. the car comes with a grabber grill, restored lighting and lamps, excellent wireing, and boxes of parts. the car has a fresh 8 inch rearend with a 390 gear. we are putting the car together a little bit each day. the car will be sold with the interior mounted in the car, all glass installed, the rearend will be installed and the front suspention and front disc brakes installed. SHE DOES NOT HAVE WHEELS AND TIRES FOR CAR. SHE WAS GOING TO GO WITH 17X7 FOR FRONT AND 17X8 FOR REAR. THE WHEELS AND TIRES SHE WAS LOOKING AT WERE GOING TO COST 1100.00... WE DECIDED NOT TO GET THEM BECAUSE WE DIDNT WANT TO PUT ANY MORE MONEY INTO A CAR THAT WE ARE SELLING. SHE WILL NEVER GET BACK THE MONEY THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN PUT INTO THE CAR AND THERE IS OVER 9500.00 IN THE CAR AS IT SITS. WINNING BIDDER WILL HAVE TO BRING A SET OF WHEELS.
