here is my daily driver 72 beetle car is from nc recently professionally rebuilt 1915cc motor engle a120 cam freshly built 40mm kadrons ported to run vacuum distributor, fuel pressure set at 2.5 psi port matched intakes. auto linea go1/ cb performance 41 heads new as41 case aluminum push rods ghia disc brakes up front, just replaced pads and adjusted rears corrado seats really nice serpantine pulley kit bosch alternator new spiro 9mm silicone spark plug wires new ngk plugs full gauge cluster, speedo, fuel, oil pres, oil temp (reading just before cooler), neat veglia italy electronic tach, voltmeter. all gauges and lights works short shift kit new clutch cable and bowden tube Porsche 914 pedrini magnesium wheels ( empi 8's shown in pic) koni " special" adjustable shocks all around. 3/4" sway bars front and rear with poly bushes just changed front wheel bearings with timkens and new seals new tires just aligned to 0 degree of toe and 10mm castor shims this car handles really really well for a beetle, i went from driving a 72 datsun 240z and i believe this car to handle better, very neutral around corners, slight understeer around hair pins steering is super tight, no play in steering box, new tie rod ends. hella fog light works! uses switch on dash crane xr 3000 full cdi ignition , rev limited @ 5500. svda distributor 34 deg fulll advance at 3300 rpm merged header with quiet muffler for around town putzin nice sounding sony cd player 6' front and 6x 9" rear early fuel tank comes with decklid shown in pic and a nice original decklid from a 1960 beetle i drive this car everyday it starts right up and drive smoothly. stops better than any beetle ive ever driven. handles rediculously well. has about 110 hp, could easliy get more by bumping up to 32 mm venturis and a better flowing/ louder exhuast. cruises down the highway at 75 smoothly runs cool i just drove it to scranton pa and back with no problems, took 2.5 tanks of gas 1 way. this could be a great track/ auto x/ rally car with a little bit of power tuning, right now i was more concerned with mpg and drivability. does not leak a drop of oil anywhere!!! original paint is ok but not perfect. has a little bit of rust under bat tray and left vent. totally solid everywhere else, perfect heater channels just changed oil/ screen just adjusted valves runs perfect engine runs very quietly sounds great!! nice wirring fan noise and deep exhaust note, almost wrx'ish NEEDS NOTHING TO BE DRIVEN ANYWHERE!!!On Sep-14-10 at 12:29:59 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE... i have changed the exhuast to a nice german made Bursch 356 muffler. it is very quiet but has a nice deep tone to it. and its made for a porsche 356!!
