1981 Honda Gold Wing

For auction is a 1981 Honda GL1100 GoldWing. This Interstate currently has 27,000 miles on it and is a very good running, project. I have been bringing it back from storage and had intended on standardizing it. Good chassis, front end and drivetrain. Recent work on the engine includes new plugs, valves adjusted to factory specifications, carburetors rebuilt using high quality K&L kits plus air cut-off valves. New air / fuel filters and fuel lines. Carburetors have been vacuum synchronized and the engine starts easily, idles well and runs very strong. Gas tank is clean inside and in very good condition. Transmission shifts well and drive line is quiet. The exhaust system is straight, complete and in very good shape including the baffles. Very solid and has a nice sound. Tires are in good shape and are about 90%. Brakes are not currently installed but are included. Front calipers have been rebuilt, front master cylinder also has been rebuilt and includes new reservoir. Rear brake system is complete but will need servicing before installing. Battery and starter solenoid are new. Instruments are clean and in working order. Rear shocks are adjustable mechanical types and give a slightly stiffer, sportier ride. OEM air shocks are included but will need rebuilding. Seat is exceptional and is without tears or loose stitching. Lock on fuel fill door needs to be replaced. Ignition key works helmet lock. Missing left side cover. Front fender is placed for picture but currently not installed. Cosmetics are fair with scratches and nicks here and there. Looks pretty good overall though. I have polished some of the aluminum and know it will all clean up nicely. I have a head light shell and headlight assembly but no trim rings. To complete in the standard style, you'll need fork covers (ears), front and rear signals, and horns. I have some spare parts that will be included. This is a straight, solid bike that sits comfortably and handles well.... I've run out of time for finishing and consider it close to going back on the road.... There is a reasonable reserve. Will be sold as is and without warranty. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping arrangements. If sold, I will require a $100.00 deposit through pay pal and the balance at time of pick up.
