1987 Chevy Sportvan Hightop Conversion Interior is shot -- seats are bad, carpet taken up, etc.. was used for camping and to haul stuff around for last year. Van is 100% complete, registered and insured and was driven daily until MA inspection sticker ran out 9/1/10. Van is origionaly from Florida and has only been in MA for 2 years, (I have documentation, copies of past registration and titles, etc to prove). Van is 99.9% RUST FREE, (see photo -- the only spot with any rust is over the passenger side wheel well and is only surface rust). Excellent candidate for restore or parts. 305 motor runs nice, tires are new --- with only 5k miles (approx, have receipts for them too). This is fixer-upper, parts van -- if sold in Massachusetts I am stating here that is WILL NOT pass the RMV mandatory inspection and is sold "FOR PARTS OR REPAIR", (it's needs front end alignment parts and the exhaust is loud -- it passed 12 months ago with no problem). I think it needs an alternator (it's not holding a charge very well and I'm not spending the money to buy a new battery or alternator). Other than battery charging problem, van could be driven hundreds of miles with no problem -- I can charge it up and it will go 50 miles or so before battery starts draining... if you want to drive it away, bring a plate -- I will consider delivering a short distance, (about 20 miles). Starting the bidding at the value of the tires and wheels.
