1969 VW Sunroof bus Good Condition sunroof bus. This bus is a whole lot of fun to drive and always turns heads. Has the large full length middle and rear seats, so it is a real people mover; or take the seats out and you have a huge cargo van; i've laid 4x8 sheets of plywood in the back and shut the back hatch; one time I slided the moon roof open and stood a refrigerator up in it ! These vehicles offer endless versatility. This is the 2nd year of the bay window bus (started in 68), has a very easy to work on 1600 single port engine; sharing many parts with the beatle so it is a good year bus. The 1600 sp is a slow motor, but "too slow, too bad", enjoy the road, the 1600 is a reliable engine. Body has some rust in lower portions of body panels and in the areas behind tires (look for detail in pictures), but frame and floors aver very solid. There is damage to inside drivers side door, wheel house step; from a motorcycle that drove into the bus; door has been replaced [I still have original door it goes with bus]. I have replacement metal peices for the wheel house steps - look at pictures carefully, no buyers remorse. - Clear Missouri title, i've owned since 1999. - 1600 Single Port Engine and Transmission in great shape, engine rebuilt and new clutch a few years ago by Vee Village in kansas city, less than 15K on rebuild. - Has had all brakes done and Master Cylinder replaced. - Ignition Cylinder, starter and steering box replaced. - Has good tires all the way around. - Has all 4 important after-market gauges (Tachomemter, CHT, Oil Temperature, Oil Pressure). - Original Front Seat belts replaced with new modern ones. All extra parts i have go with it: - 69 Owners Manual and shop manuals (bently, meirs, other) - Engine stand attachment for floor jack (aids in removal of engine) - complete Clutch Kit (100 dollars) - Accelerator and Clutch Cable - Sun Roof Cables, handles and other parts ( 300 bucks to find these !) - Two new hub caps - Front Spare tire mount and cover - Bumper - Wheel House Step metal (to fix damage on drivers side) - Dashboard - Gauges - Front Kick Panels - Sun Visors - Battery tray - Miscellaneous parts (drivers door, engine hatch) Has full length middle seat and rear seat, huge moonroof that opens up (cables currently not working, i have a set of cables but never installed; I slide it open and closed by hand).
