Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1976 Triumph TR6 which I have owned since 1987. The car has an after market hardtop. Also included are the soft top, boot cover, and tonneu cover. The soft top and frame are usable but will need some cleanup/repair. The car is currently not running. The car has a new gearbox, clutch, pressure plate, and release bearing with less than 1000 miles. The original overdrive unit was reinstalled at the time the gearbox was replaced. The belt and hoses are all new as well as the water pump. I have a new high torque gear reduction starter that has not been installed yet. There is a new battery and spark plugs in the car. I also have new Spax adjustable front shocks, ball joints, bushings, etc. to rebuild the front end that have not been installed. The car was de-smoged years ago and there is a one piece header installed. I no longer have the original exhaust manifold. I also have the air conditioning in a box which I removed from the car years ago to provide additional leg room. I replaced the carpet and interior panels several years ago and they are very nice with no noticable wear. The seats were taken down to the frames and rebuilt with new foam and covers at the same time. The car has always been stored in my garage since I bought it and there is little to no rust on the frame or floor pans. There is rust on the lower left boot lid and minor surface rust on the doors which I have tried to show in the pictures. The car has never been painted and has the original white paint and black stripe with the exception of the right front fender. It appears as though it was repaired and repainted prior to my ownership. I also replaced the gas tank approximately 10 years ago. The car needs to have the wiring replaced or at least sorted out. The carbs will likely need to be rebuilt. This is a great project car that will not take much to make road worthy but I no longer have the time or motivation. My interests have moved on to American made motorcycles and muscle cars. The car is being sold as is and there is NO warranty provided. Shipping will be by the successful bidder and the car must be picked up within 10 days of auction closing. A $400 dollar non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of auction closing. DO NOT bid if you are unable to complete the transaction. Please e-mail with questions and I will try to respond in a timely fashion.
