Vehicle Detail

I will give the bad news first: This car will not start. It quit while I was driving it and I did not have it looked at. I suspect the timing chain but, again, it has not been diagnosed. It is therefore still in 1 piece and will remain that way until it's purchased. This car is being sold as is. I have owned this car for 11 years and it has been a great car! I'm selling it because I am single and have 2 vehicles. My other vehicle is a van and suits my needs better so I'm letting this go. As you can see by the condition, I take care of my things. The interior is in well above average condition. There is 1 rip in the drivers seat where the corner of my pocket rubs when I get in the car. This happened to my previous car as well. I have never smoked in this car and there was no evidence of it being owned by smokers before. I'm very fussy about my things and on the rare occasion that anyone rode in it, they were not allowed to smoke or eat in the car. This car looked like new when I bought it. A previous owner had the locks shaved and an alarm installed. The tops of the doors and back of the rear hatch were painted due to filling in the locks. The paint they used was not the greatest as it became dull over the years. I was going to have it repainted but never did. This car has been well maintained and pretty much everything is in good working order. This car came with yellow printing on things like electric window switches, etc. It was the only year that it did. I always made sure to get the correct part with the yellow printing as I like things to match. I had regular oil changes with a synthetic blend. Some of the photos taken are with the car wet right after being washed. It looks great wet and you will see in the other photos that after it dries, the paint on the tops of the doors, rear bumper and nose, look faded. I don't know much about paint but was told that those areas need a clear coat. There is a small area above the left rear tire where I had pryed against the wheelwell and bent the metal there. A rust spot developed there as a result. There are no door dings or any other rust spots that I can find. I was rear ended about 6 years ago but the damage was minor and mostly to the exaust which I had repaired. Options include: loaded with power door locks, power windows, power steering, power brakes, Power mirrors, cruise, power driver's seat, rear defrost, air conditioning (needs charged), anti-lock brakes, Sony ES series CD stereo, custom subwoofer enclosure & amp. The tires are all matching Perelli - P Zero Nero with some life still left in them. This car comes with 2 keys, 2 alarm remotes, the original owner's manual, the original Camaro cassette tape (although a CD player is installed now), the owner's manual for the stereo, the case for the stereo face, floor mats, the original rear deck cover in like new condition (not pictured) and the socket for the security lugnuts. As for what does not work: The air conditioning has a slow leak. It will blow cold when it is charged and the last few years I used it the charge would hold for the season but would require charging the next summer. The air pump (part of the emissions) seized up and has been removed from the car. I purchased another one online but it came damaged and I never replaced it. It is only used for a very short time while the car is warming up and had no effect on how it ran (even during warmup). The center console lid has a broken hinge. The wipers do not always go to their resting point when shut off but instead stop at the point where it stops during intermittent wipers. The rear view mirror needs reglued to the windshield. Feel free to ask questions. I will reply within 24 hours. If you would like any other photos taken of any specific areas let me know. It will be the buyer's responsibility to arrange for pickup of this vehicle by towing or car carrier. Repairing the car here is not an option. I need the parking space. I did set a reserve price but I have more money in the stereo system for this car than the reserve price I set. Bid with confidence. I have 100% positive feedback! Happy bidding! On Sep-08-10 at 13:57:36 PDT, seller added the following information: One thing I forgot to mention is that where the door and rear hatch locks were filled in with some kind of filler, this filler has cracked and is noticable, especially on the rear hatch, which you can see in one of the photos. Not nearly as noticeable on the doors. I do not know if the locks are still there since this was done before I bought it. I also have and will include 2 keys that are for the glovebox and probably the rear hatch lock if it is still there. This car had sporty dark headlight covers when I purchased it. One came up missing so I removed the other one and will include that with the car if you can use it. They made the car look more sporty but cut down on night vision so I didn't buy another set. With the reserve now met, this car will be sold. I have to say that part of me is saddened as it's kind of like losing an old friend. I hope the winner enjoys it as much as I have!
