Vehicle Detail

Winning bidder does NOT have to take the whole truck. If someone just wants some parts, they can strip the parts they need and leave the truck, providing it still has the wheels and steering, so it can be easily loaded on a trailer. We have a scrap metal dealer that will pick up the truck on a trailer and haul it off. There is NO power on the ranch and no concrete slab, only dirt. NO cutting torches! California Title says first sold in 1965 but grill appears to be a 66 and the throttle linkage pivots from the firewall and not the floorboard. I have no registration, as it has not been registered since ’79. Great project truck, with no body cancer and light surface rust. This truck is on a ranch at Pine Flat Lake, CA, about 40 miles east of Fresno and being sold as is, where is. It was being used as a ranch truck through the 80’s and was running when parked at that time. I would figure on a complete engine rebuild. Windshield is cracked, all other glass is good and both doors are buckled from cattle pushing up against them, should pop out easily. The tires have been aired up and have been holding air for about a month. Missing horn button and right mirror. The left inside door handle and left headlight with rim are all still with the truck. Tailgate has a few small dents but overall real good. The worst dent (hole) is right rear, under the taillight, where it looks like it was rammed with a forklift but body is very good overall. Transmission is a Borg-Warner "D" side cover 3 speed’ with HURST shift linkage. It originally had overdrive but no longer does. It has the chrome trim around the inside of the doors and is in very good condition. The rats have been using this truck as their home for the last 20 years but has been cleaned out since the pictures. Must make arrangement for payment and pickup within three days of auction, will allow thirty days for pickup. Please Note: The title says "first sold in 1965" and it also shows a Body Type Model on the title just before the Vin # of ZB 65 PU 2S. The previous owner was a friend and he always referred to it as a '65. I guess it could be a '66 that sold new in late '65 or a late 65 that got the ’66 modifications, I don't know. It has not been registered since I've owned it and the title is signed off by the previous owner on 5-17-79. DMV will most likely require it to be registered as a ’65. THIS TRUCK WILL MAKE A GREAT RESTORATION PROJECT OR PARTS TRUCK FOR YOUR CURRENT RESTORATION PROJECT. DO NOT EMAIL ME WANTING TO BUY IT OR PARTS OFF IT, AFTER THE AUCTION IS OVER. IF IT DOES NOT SELL, I WILL HAUL IT TO FRESNO AND SCRAP IT FOR MORE THAN THE OPENING BID. I do not have time to mess with it.
