1967 Triumph Bonneville T120R custom If you are looking for a one of a kind custom Triumph that is clean and fresh then this is your bike. Starting with a 4" longer and 2.5" lower rigid frame, it was added to the original front frame. It was sand blasted and painted black with the best Dupont paint. A custom rear fender was added and was painted as was the excellent original Triumph fuel tank and fork covers and headlight. The fuel tank has new brass petcocks and the original domed top fuel cap that was rechromed. A new chrome center trim was added. Rebuilt emblems installed. Custom leather seat with 1/4 inch foam suspended on leaf spring. A preunit headlight assembly including new glass and new rotary headlight switch was added. The wheels are the original Triumph 19" front and 18" rear that were completely rebuilt with new bearings, spokes, tubes, Dunlop 3.50/19 front and 4.0/18 rear tires. Wheels were powder coated black. The rear brakes have new drums, shoes and all new stainless steel hardware. The front brake shoes are almost new and the brake cable is new. The engine was completely rebuilt. Starting with a low mileage engine, all new bearings, new standard size pistons were added. A high performance 3-angle valve job was done to the cylinder head, valve guides and valves replaced. The gearbox had bearings replaced as necessary. The gears were in practically new condition. Rebuilt Amal monoblock carbs were used. New Boyer electronic ignition was used, with new coils, wires, connectors. New Podtronics voltage regulator, and gell cell battery. A custom oil tank was used that was finished with wrinkle finish paint. New custom exhaust header pipes were used with new original Triumph mufflers. All the hardware is replated original or replaced with stainless steel. The forks were rebuilt with new fork tubes. New drive chain fitted. New adjustable Tomasseli handle bar levers were added to a new English market handlebars were fitted. The bars are slightly lower than the original set. This is the highlights of the work done. The bike has 15 miles since completion. Bike starts on one kick, it idles and runs great.
