Vehicle Detail
2003 F350 King Ranch 4x4 Dually I bought this truck in need of some repairs. I did the needed stuff, and now I am ready to part with it to pursue other toys. Here is the rundown on the truck. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A MINT KING RANCH DUALLY< THIS IS NOT YOUR TRUCK!!! STOP READING NOW… It was a work truck, but well taken care of overall This is a one owner truck. I bought it from the original owner (it is still in his name, so you will be owner #2 officially). I have the original window sticker for $48,775 from 2003. Here is what it is/has per the window sticker: 2003 F350 4x4 DRW Crew cab Lariat 172” WB Styleside 6.0 Diesel Auto Tranny 628a package (rear Stab Bar, Auto locks/lamps, remote keyless) 4.10 Limited Slip King ranch Package- Quad buckets, heated front seats, full power 11,500# GVWR Package ESOF Engine Block heater Camper Package FX4 package Power Pedals Hitch bedliner Truck also has Drawtite 5th wheel setup in the bed as well 183,xxx chassis miles, 34k on new motor! The REALLY good: This truck has had 3 motors. The first one was chipped/tuned and popped at 105k. The second one was stock, but dropped a piston at 149,781. Gary Yeoman’s ford put a new motor in the truck on 11/12/08. Motor is warranted 3 years/unlimited miles per my trip to ford last week with this truck!!! Warranty in effect until 11/2011!!!!!! The overall rundown: Truck was a daily driven work truck; it has pulled a skid steer trailer on occasion, but nothing too heavy all things considered what this rig can handle. The interior is in workable shape. No rips/tears overall, the armrests are the worst. I figure another 2-3 bottles of King Ranch conditioner will rehydrate the front seats pretty well. As such however, it has miscellaneous, dings ping scratches and scrapes all over. Most noticeable to me…There is a decent dent in the front bumper as shown in the pics, as well as a 4-5” crack in the right rear dually fender as shown in the pics. Otherwise, a good buffer could fix a lot of paint issues. Recent services and good stuff: Replaced the radiator with a lifetime rad from Gator radiator New ford alternator. 7/14/09 6 brand new tires 5/27/10, as well as an alignment-truck drives nice and straight. Almost no miles on new tires. New Blower Motor switch- 7/14/09- AC was only blowing on high- Now works on all speeds… Occasionally seems to stop blowing cold when truck is run for a while. It is frosty nipples cold on startup and for the 20 minute trips I have been making in it, but I had it out for an hour trip the other day and it randomly got cool, but not cold in the middle of the trip. Perhaps it just needs a recharge. New Water in fuel unit 7/14/09- Old one was defective Hubs replaced 5/07 at 140k if memory serves- they spin freely and lock into place. (Receipt is included) What I know the truck needsL I took it to ford last week and had them run the truck down top to bottom Brakes all around (Pads currently at 3/32) Rotors in front Front Sway bar bushings are shot, they clunk over bumps Needs new front shocks I can’t find any receipts for a recent oil change or tranny flush, so I assume they both need done as well. Basically, $500 in mechanical work, plus the fluid change and this should be good to go Rough trade in is $14,100 with 183k.
