Vehicle Detail

Very nice black on black with houndstooth seat inserts. 4 Speed. Has built 427 with headers and 11.5:1 compression. Tried to get pics of the block casting #'s but didn't have much luck. Nice inside and out. X66 code original 396 SS. Front disk brakes. Runs and drives Great! Car was hardly driven. Only driven a few miles a year, mostly to local car shows. Hard to find a car this nice. No rust. Only problems are some minor oil leaks from oil pan and rear diff. and a small hole in the right 1/4 panel where it fell of a jack. Other issues are some of the aftermarket panels didn't align perfectly (cowl, fenders) and exterior door handles don't open the door. Otherwise car is very original, with nice shiney paint, and shows very well. Car can be inspected/viewed before perchase. Here is your chance to own a beautiful classic that is sure to appreciate in value. Low Reserve! See other auction for many parts! On Aug-31-10 at 15:18:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Oddometer is showing 11820. Don't believe this to be correct. All guages and interior appear to be original. The rear end is a 12 bolt and had these #'s on them 67890 and 8315. This is what they appear to be. They were located on the driver's side of the back, next to the differential. I tried to get the #'s from the block but couldn't see them in full. The driver's side back had GM3P * SFO and the passenger side had E11. The trans has 3978764 GM 1. It looked like the speedo cable is missing. I took detailed pics of the undercarriage and it looks good. The tub still has the rust proofing on it and the sub frame was nice and clean with no signs of damage. Only problems that I noted were a small bend in the back lower corner of the right door. The cowl cover is aftermarket and is the cause of the incorrect alignment. There is a small gap at the corners of the cowl under the windshield and at the fenders. The hood looks too new to be original also. There are nice original pieces in the lot of parts that I have forsale to fix these matters. Also, the bumpers look to be original with the original chrome that is slightly pitted, but very presentable. The front air dam has been into a curb sometime in its life and has some cracks in the mounting points. Not noticable until you crawl under the car. I also couldn't get the glove box to close completely. On Aug-31-10 at 15:24:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention that the car does have power steering. Everything else seems to be in good working order. Car even has original period radio. If you would like more pictures please e-mail me at jenintmk3 @ yahoo.com (remove the spaces) and I can send detailed pics of dash, center console and undercarriage. Thanks! On Sep-02-10 at 18:35:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Tach is 6000 redline. Had to put in a new battery as the old one wouldn't charge. Got car out of the garage for full view pics. Shoot me an e-mail at jenintmk3@yahoo.com and I can send you full views from all around the car. Will send them out tonight and will check back when I get up tomorrow. Thanks.
