Vehicle Detail
Welcome, car is being relisted due to buyer being unable to purchase car, up for auction is a 1971 Porsche 914 1.7. This is a california car and has minimal rust. I did not find any areas on this car where it was rusted thru. There is a some surface rust in the trunk(as seen in photo), but thats about it. Car still even retains original battery tray. This car needs a little TLC and it should be on the road in no time. Engine/ Trans: The engine in this car has been out and rebuilt. It sounds really strong and was running good. I did not drive the car due to the brakes needing to be bled and the pedal cluster being sticky. I have since sprayed pedals with wd40 and has already got a lot better. Engine has been switched over to a weber carburator. Car has the desirable 5spd sideshift transmission in it. Car also comes with brand new battery I just bought for it. Interior: This car has great upholstery. The seats are in the best shape i've seen in a 914. Dash has some cracks, but not terrible. Car has nice center console with the 3 gauge set up. I don't have a key for the car as I got the car from a storage facility on a lien sale. It will need a new ignition that can be had at napa for about $20, I was using a screwdriver to start it. Wheels/Brakes: This car has the desirable fuch wheels on it and there in pretty good shape as seen it photos. Brakes need to be bled as the car has been sitting on non-op for a few years now. Exterior: Car is currently white, however was originally painted willow green, paint code L 63 k. There is a dent on the passenger side door. It also looks as though the front left was at one time hit and repaired. The hood still has a dent in it from the impact I presume, hence the salvage title. The front hood is currently not attached, but I have a replacement set of hinges for it. Trunk will need a new lock. Lights pop up and down real good. Overall this would be a great little project for someone to enjoy and take as far as they like. Car comes with california DMV liensale paperwork and dmv bill of sale, ready to be signed over to new owner. Car will need to be towed or hauled to new owner. I can assist with shipping the car anywhere, domestic or overseas. This is a NO RESERVE auction so high bidder gets the car. Please call or email for any questions prior to bidding or if you have low or zero feedback. $500 paypal deposit required upon winning. My phone number is 925-413-8974, thanks, DAN
