Vehicle Detail
I've been completely happy as the third owner of this 1996 Honda PC800 Pacific Coast motorcycle that I have owned since August 2003. The motorcycle is exceptionally clean with a nice and shiny original finish, everything works well, and it has proven to be 100% reliable. The machine is aerodynamic, smooth, and quiet in all respects, and it consistently delivers fuel economy of 50-57 mpg on regular gasoline (no premium necessary)! I've always kept the well-cared-for bike inside of my garage, and I have used it primarily for weekend trips, no heavy commuting, no accidents. I love this machine, but I don't ride much any longer, so I've decided to put it up for bidding. The Honda Pacific Coast has an 800cc 2 cylinder 4 stroke engine, is shaft driven, is liquid cooled, has self-canceling turn signals, has a trip odometer, and it has a spacious and lockable storage trunk. The machine was designed by Honda engineers for minimum fuss and maximum performance - basically a wash-and-go machine! The previous owners installed an adjustable Corbin aftermarket seat, aftermarket heated hand grips with high, low, and off settings, and an aftermarket metal luggage rack. I have added two aftermarket trunk mats and two Honda insert bags so that you can quickly grab your luggage items and go with minimal fuss. The trunk storage easily accomodates two XL full face helmets. The bidding includes a Honda motorcycle cover, the original Honda tool kit, a Honda owners manual, a Honda service manual with microfiche, and one oil filter with 4 quarts of synthetic oil for the next oil change. It is extremely easy to change the oil and filter on this bike yourself as I have done in the time that I have owned it. The odometer is currently at 32,290 miles, about 8700 miles lower than average for this type of motorcycle. This 1996 has the original Magna Red and Karakorum Gray two-tone paint in great condition. The four gray guards do have some scuffs that can be seen in the photos. I understand from the previous owner that the first owner had some problem with wet leaves in the fall. I've not noticed any drivability problems in the 14,630 miles that I have put on the machine. The smoothness continues to impress me! The PC800 is a great bike for commuting, handles easily, and is more than powerful enough for long-distance freeway riding. The PC800 is a great machine for beginners or advanced riders, received great press, and has a close following among the Pacific Coast PC800 community. Ask anyone who owns one, and the love it! All questions will be answered as quickly as I can get to them. I'm happy to send additional pictures by email as necessary. I request a $500 down payment by PayPal within 48 hours of the winning bid with the balance due within one week by US certified bank check or US currency (cash). I won't arrange for shipping but will be happy to cooperate with your shipping needs within reason. Happy bidding! On Jun-27-10 at 09:13:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Folks, I've been asked several times, with sincerity I hope, my bottom line price for the Honda PC800. My bottom line price is somewhere above the starting bid. Should I not reach the reserve price, which has yet to be revealed, then I have priced my motorcycle above the current market, and I will likely keep the machine until a later date. Thanks to all for your interest!
