This auction is a 1997 Audi Cabriolet with only 80,000 miles. It runs very very quiet and very very strong. I am selling my toy because of the back seat. I can not fit my family in this car. Had to rent a car to go on vacation to Myrtle Beach. This didnt go over well with the wife. I am 6'5" and fit very well in the front but left no room in the back seat for my kids. The 2.8 liter V6 is barely broke in. Lets start with the motor. I just performed a complete tune up just for precaution. New timing belt, water pump, surpentine belt with new pullys and tentioners, new A/C compresser and lines(needs charged), new alternator, double platinum plugs, new plug wires. Transmission shifts as should/smooth. Runs GREAT. All of this work was done 5,000 miles ago. The body has NO rust or dents as shown in the pics only minor scratches here and there that can be buffed out. Very clean and glossy. My wife however did back into a mailbox and caused a little damage to the plastic bumper and also the front bumper is a bit damaged on the passenger side from the previous owner. Dont let this hold you back because this car is still a head turner. The manual convertible top is like new. The inside is very clean with no cracks or chips in the interior. The seats are 50% leather that could use conditioner and the cloth needs a good bath, I chose to cover them with car covers instead. The tires have probably 7/32 of tread left. Brake pads are still 75%. In the future you will need another key made because I only have 1. This car is capable of a keyless entry, but I never got around to buying one from Audi. Lastly, if you have never driven a German car, you are in for a treat. Built like a tank. Bid with confidence, This car will drive anywhere and is very dependable. I get around 19 mpg in the city and 26 freeway. You wont find a cleaner 1997 Audi anywhere. I will throw in a new fuel filter and air filter. Thanks and Good Luck 8/15/2010 revision: I know that the decals says "A4" and is not correct. I bought other black decals/stripes that I was going to replace the "A4" with but never got around to it. The new decals are top of the line and either will come with the car for you to put on or I can do it for you. Also, just let me know if you want me to remove the "A4" because my buddy does this for a living. Lastly, just tell me how you want it, the decals have only been on for a couple of months so can be removed easily with no damage. Thanks
