Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Up for auction is a 1929 ford model A roadster pick-up street rod/rat rod ( NO RESERVE). It has the original model A frame witch has been all boxed using 3/16 steel so it can handle the added torque of the ford small block that now resides where the original four popper sat and it has also received a mustang II front end so it has new disk brakes up front and new drum brakes in the rear with all new brake lines so the brakes have a lot of stopping power. The 302 2bbl motor and 8” rear end are out of a 1972 maverick that had 86,000 miles and runs good and tight and the trans is a 2-speed automatic out of a 65 falcon. The body was very good before the build so there was not much body work needed only a cowl patch was needed and repair of a rip on the front fender and the running boards are also new so it is a steel body but the rear fenders are fiber glass and it is painted hot rod black enamel. All the chrome on the car was purchased out of speedway like the grill shell, motor meter and wings, front bumper head lights and tail lights, dash cluster, door handles both inside and out. I also purchased a new steering column from speedway with a quick release steering wheel and also a radiator that I put a electric fan on to keep it running cool It has the original roadster top and bows with the side widows on the doors and a original model A seat with a custom made console with gauges. The windshield and the frame and the hand operated wiper are also new from speedway. It has new wood on the cab floor and the bed floor witch is covered with carpet also and the tonneau cover is removable if you like. It uses the original cowl gas tank and does not leak. All the lights work as they should and it has a new fuse box that accepts modern flat fuses. I think I have coverd everything but feel free to email me or call 231-206-5258 if there is something that I missed and I reserve the right to stop the auction at any time as it is for sale locally thanks and good bidding Kirk.( Also the 27 T is for sale too)
