1985 Renault Alliance Convertible DL, 1.7 liter, 5 speed manual having 67,250 miles. Bought the car on eBay in late April 2010 for my daughter, but she wants a car that has air conditioner. This car had no factory air conditioner installed. The car has a New York title but was driven by a man who kept it in West Palm Beach. It has not been registered since I bought it. Since I bought the car I performed the following tasks, oil, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, rotor, cap, spark plug wires, front brake pads, transmission mount and right side CV joint. Had KYB shocks front and back and new rear shoes when I bought it. I also installed brand new General Altimax HP 185/60 x 14 tires mounted on the rare factory alloy wheels. The paint has issues, the sides buff out nicely but the trunk and hood clear coat is gone and the paint doesn’t buff out well. The white top has some stains on it but no tears and doesn't leak. The electric/hydraulic top goes up and down with no problems. The car has a tonneau cover for the top when it’s down. Also have a spare tonneau cover. The interior has no rips; the blue cloth seats are slightly faded. The dash has one area of separation (see photo).The carpet is worn and faded but not torn. Only items that doesn’t work is the clock, but the aftermarket radio has one on the face. Also both of the front window crank handles slip when turning to roll the windows up or down. The manual window regulators for the front windows are the weak link on 2 door alliance. They work but should be replaced in the future. Includes complete repair manuals and owner’s manual. For a car that gets 30+ mpg, looks great, has no rust and was USA made. It is the car to add to your collection! I can deliver this car to you for expenses if you would like.
