Vehicle Detail
Offered for sale is a gorgeous example of a 1970 E-Type Coupe (not a 2+2) finished in a flawless mirror black finish over black leather. Having had one or two stunning cars himself, Enzo Ferrari described the E-Type coupe as the most beautiful car ever designed and it's easy to understand why. Aggressive, yet refined, elegantly masculine lines, a perfect amalgamation of power and finesse. In excellent, largely original condition, this car embodies all of these things and its two owners have given it the care and deference it demands. The paint is flawless, without a mark or ding to report. The glass and rubber are in great shape, as is the original chrome. The wire wheels show plenty of luster and are wrapped in tires with plenty of tread. All of the gaps and lines are consistent and fantastic - this is a cat that shows no evidence of ever having been in an accident. The original interior is equally as clean. The seats show only the most negligible of wear, the original carpets are in good shape and the dash and headliner have no noticeable flaws. This is a car that was always well loved and taken care of. Firing right up smoothly, the car is blast to drive. Always easy into every gear, it pulls strongly without hesitation. The brakes are fresh and the car was just tuned to ensure a wonderfully vintage sports car experience. No matter the occasion, it's always a joy for the driver, as well as passersby and onlookers, all of whom inevitably turn their heads. If you're looking for an aesthetically stunning, strong driving example of a motoring icon, look no further. I want this car to go to a great home, so please feel free to email me or give me a call at (805) 886-1823 if you have any additional questions or would like to make a deal. While I have a California dealer license, I’m not your typical dealer. I’ve always had an appreciation for classic European cars and have always bought and sold them to create a kind of very small revolving personal collection, which, up until this posting, has contained the XKE you’re currently looking at. I try to give accurate descriptions of the cars I’m selling, but I’m not an expert and I encourage and am happy to help facilitate personal or professional inspections. But please do so before bidding, as the alternative harms my ability to make sales with other interested parties who have done their proper due diligence before bidding. For U.S. buyers a 10% non-refundable deposit is required within 3 days of the auction's end, the balance to be paid within 7 days of the auction's end. Foreign buyers must pay in full within 7 business days of auction’s end. Buyer is responsible for shipping, however I'd be more than happy to help with recommendations and arrangements. The car is listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time should it sell prior to auction's end. Thanks for your interest.
