Vehicle Detail
1955 Chevrolet 3100 Stepside Shortbed Pickup Thank you for looking at my truck. I have been working on this truck for the past 1 1/2 years. I have loved every minute of building this truck. I am a local shop teacher and enjoy building vehicles for the past 18 years from the ground up and this is definitely my best work to date. I purchased this beauty for $8000 and totally rebuilt this '55 to show quality or even a daily driver with some serious bling! The following is a list of what has been done to the truck: *Stripped down truck to bare frame and repainted. The paint has 3 coats of bare metal primer, two coats of black sealer, three coats of Martin-Seniour Barrett-Jackson Hemi Violet (very expensive) metallic paint and two coats of clear. This is a $20k paint job! Myself and a friend of mine who has painted for Chip Foose made this truck beautiful. *New Crager SS rims w/new lugs and center caps wrapped with brand new Big O rubber on all 4. *New body parts as needed to eliminate ridiculous body filler. *New chrome = grill, front and rear bumpers, headlight bezels, rear view mirror, cab light, rear taillights, chains for tailgate, dual exhaust tips, windshield wipers, fender emblems, hood emblem *Rebuilt interior = rebuilt seat, new carpet, new headliner *Rebuilt some of the electrical system = horn button, turn signals, headlights (high beam and low beam, windshield wipers, radio antenna, interior cab light. * Rebuilt wood bed = burnt wood grain with propane torch to blacken grain and finished with a transparent black w/three coats of clear. New glass and rubber moldings on front windshield and rear window. New front disc brakes and power steering. Both from manufacture named Flaming River. Rear differential converted to 3.40 gears so this truck hauls on the highway! The list of new parts and rebuit items goes on and on. If you have questions, please email and I will answer all inquires. New interior knobs (I even converted the ignition key to a matching knob to blend in with other chrome knobs on the dash), gas pedal, front clearance lights, rear license plate bracket w/glass lens for illumination, etc. *327 Small block painted original orange w/original black air cleaner. Dual exhaust with 2 foot chrome tips and turbo mufflers (truck is relatively quiet). 4 speed manual tranny, power steering, disc brakes, road trip worthy (for those who love the car show circuit), 12 volt system that starts by barely twisting the key. This 1955 Chevrolet Stepside shortbed pickup truck is award winning and turns heads when I pull it out. No matter where you go, you will be the topic of conversation, even if you go for an ice cream cone, car show or just to pump some gas. People will stare and you just wave with excitement! I can be reached on my cell 970-846-6265. Thanks so much for your time! ~Kevin On Aug-23-10 at 16:19:25 PDT, seller added the following information: OK - Let's Have a Little Fun - Ebay style The Reserve for this beautiful truck is $10,700!
