Vehicle Detail
Alright, here is a 2003 honda civic hybrid that I bought about 3 and half years ago. It had been in an accident before I bought it, around 33000 miles or so the accident occured, and I bought it at 39000 miles. So I dont know what kind of damages it sustained. I bought my car exactly the way it looked now, so now it has about 105000 miles on it. It seems to had been in front end damage since the hood is not perfectly aligned on the body. But I knew this and took a chance on this car and bought it at a good price and did minor repairs right after i got it, such as O2 sensor, motor mount and few other sensors needed to pass inspection in my state, and since then i had no problems with it until now. I do have the title on hand, and the title seems to be clear, but if you check the carfax on it, it is a rebuilt car and does NOT have a clean history on title. In other word, this is a salvage rebuilt car, or rebuilt title brand see below on salvage info. It does need major repairs to get it back on the road, or it can be used as a part car or project car or whatever you want. Brand, Date, Location Salvage 01-27-2005 MA Rebuilt/Rebuildable 11-02-2005 NY Salvage 11-02-2005 NY IMPORTANT: The transmission is bad, it died almost 2 months ago and been sitting there since then. The electric motor inside the automatic transmission went bad and you cannot start the car at all. The transmission (part that moves the car around is fine, but the electric motor part is bad). You need the electric motor since it acts as an alternator providing power to the car, thus starting the car up. Again the car will not start at all. Honda dealer says it is better to put whole new transmission part in it, about 3000 dollars. Mabye you can find another cheaper option. SO IT NEEDS TO BE TOWED!!!! Before the car died, the engine light sometimes came on and off, mostly on since the catalyst converter is bad. Its has alot of rust on the converter. You will need to replace that for inspection. about 1200 dollars at the dealer. It needs other things too: such front bushings, a motor mount, the front struts are going bad, tires does not have much tread but will last about 2 or 3k miles before need replacing. The main hybrid battery in the back seat is FINE. So if you put a new transmission in, you should have no problem getting around and having the hybrid battery working for you. The engine is solid wth no oil or coolant leaks, sometimes I change the oil myself when I can, and it needs full syn. oil. I tried many times to start the car up that I drained the small normal car battery up front in the engine, so that will just need a jumpstart. I may do it before it is sold in case someone wants to see the dashboard light up. The car does have scratches on front and rear bumpers and other nicks on the body, but overall it looks ok. I had it for over 3 years with no problems even though it had been in an accident and served me very well and getting great gas mileage, bout 35 to 36 city and 40 highway. I just dont have the kind of money to fix it upfront and got another car on a payment plan. I miss the car very much but its taking up my parking space so it has to go. I hope I answered all your questions and please reread above on what the car needs and bid on what you think the value ought to be. I can show you the car before the bidding is over and the reserve is low in my opinion. You must have at least 3 feedback, unless you contact me for permssion to bid if you have less. I prefer cash or money order, but will take personal check too, but you must wait until personal check clear, bout 3 days, before I turn car over. WINNING BIDDER MUST PUT IN 100 DOLLARS WITHIN 48 HOURS TO PAYPAL TO CONFIRM YOUR COMMITMENT TO BUYING THIS!!! I WILL CANCEL EVERY 0 FEEDBACK. Please email me if you have any questions and I may give you my phone number if you are very interested in this and we can take it from there and I can show you the car before bidding is over. REREAD ABOVE! AGAIN THIS IS A SALVAGE REBUILT CAR, WILL NOT START AT ALL AND WILL NEED TO BE TOWED!!
