THIS CAR WAS ORIGNALLY BOUGHT BY JOHN GUDELL WHO WAS THE PRODUCER OF THE GROUCHO MARX TV SHOW, I BOUGHT IT IN THE EARLY 70'S AND HAVE MAINTAINED IT SINCE. I HAVE ALL SERVICE RECORDS SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT. ENGINE WAS REBUILT ABOUT 15K MILES AGO BY LES WHITE WHO WAS THE PRESIDENT OF THE JAGUAR CLUB. EVERYTHING IS ORIGINAL EXCEPT I UPGRADED THE AC COMPRESSOR (BUT STILLL HAVE THE ORIGINAL ONE). SEATS HAVE BEEN REDONE WITH CONOLLY LEATHER TO MATCH THE ORIGINAL. THERE ARE FLAWS AS FOLLOWS: IMPERFECTIONS IN THE PAINT,INCLUDING SOME CHIPS AND SMALL DENTS; THESE ARE NOTICABLE CLOSE UP. THE HEADLINER IN SOME PLACES IS LOOSE, AND SO SHOULD BE REPLACED. THERE IS WEAR ON THE DRIVER SIDE CARPET, (CARPETS HAD BEEN REPLACED AS ORIGINAL, BUT DS HAS WORN SOME.) THIS CAR IS NOT PERFECT BUT IS EXCELLENT WITHOUT RUST ISSUES OR MECHANICAL ISSUES. NO WEIRD PARTS OR RESTORATION, ALL ORIGINAL AND READY TO ROLL. I NO LONGER HAVE MY BIG GARAGE AND SO I AM SELLING MY CARS.On Aug-18-10 at 10:42:24 PDT, seller added the following information: There are other flaws: the dashboard cover (replaced once) has again cracked (this is the vinyl cover under the windshield), also the air conditioner vent compartments inside the car had cracked and were repaired with glue. These are the rectangular spaces that the vents sit inside). The plastic piece that indicates the gear the car is in was also cracked and glued.
