Vehicle Detail
I have a 1931 ford model A sport coupe that I purchased 1 year ago. Car was driven home and parked in my garage, driven once in a while to a local shows.. Have not really done anything to car since I bought it but drive it to a show now and then. Unable to complete as originally intended due to illness. This is basically an older restoration barn find. It has hydraulic brakes, different steering wheel, after market water heater ( not connected up) and cowell vents. Looks like generator is not stock model A also, all else looks completly stock to me.. Car runs and stops good, could use freashing up. Car needs a little tlc but with a little tuneing up can be shown as an excellent original barn find. Car is all steel and very solid, paint looks like it could be original but not sure. Was originally a rumble seat car but was converted to trunk model, could easially be converted back to rumble seat. Rust, The only rust I can see is the windshiel frame itself, frame can be easially replaced, speedway motors sell them, there maybe surface rust underneath but I cannot see anything and I looked good., car is very solid. Remember car is almost 80 years old. People I bought it from said they bought it in 1942. I may be the 3 rd. owner but not sure. Car does not have any dents, several spots where paint is chipped and scratched but no real dents. My original plans was to make a hot rod out of it, but my model a friends said absolutly not, it's way to nice a car to cut up. I don't know what else to say about it, if you have questions I will try to answer them as best I can. Just e-mail me. All I can add is it runs and drives like a model a should. No power stering, no syncromesh transmission, ( those of you that have driven stock model A's before know what I mean about double clutching to shift.
