Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1969 Corvette Convertible Stingray, modified. 350 V-8 engine, 350 horsepower. Has 70,390 miles. Numbers match car. The engine is not completely stock, tweaked a little. Runs good and sounds great. Car is currently in primer and ready to be painted. The body is in excellent condition with no cracks. I recently did all the body work and was going to paint it but decided to try to sell it in primer first to allow the buyer to paint it another color. The door jams are still the original Le Mans Metallic blue, paint code 976. The previous owner changed the front end to a 1973 one piece style front end with a 4 inch cowl induction hood and also changed the rear fenders to wide fender flares. It looks "tuff" with the flared rear fenders. The wheels are ET aluminum, front 8 inch and rear 10 inch. I have recently reworked or replaced a lot of parts on the car including new brake master cylinder, new brake caliper pistons and o-rings, new carpet, new heater hoses and antifreeze, new original style oil pressure gauge, new air cleaner, new fuel pump, new fuel lines and fuel filter, new spark plug wires, new Hedman side pipe headers, new alternator and power steering belts, new wiper blades, new pcv valve, new sway bar bushings and end links. Gas tank has been recently cleaned and sealed. All four brake calipers have been reworked with new pistons and o-rings within the past two weeks. Original rear bumpers have been cleaned on the inside and painted with hammered steel on the inside, the outside surface of the bumpers are chrome with no dents and in really good shape for original. The factory side pipe covers have been cleaned and painted with hammered steel. Interior is original except the carpet. The driver side seat has a small place in it but other than that the seats are in good condition for being original. The only problem with the interior is that the previous owner dyed everything in the interior black from the original blue but this would be ok if you wanted to paint it a different color. The radio is not in the console but I have the original AM/FM radio for the car. All the gauges are original and still work except for the clock and I think that it is a grounding issue. The carpet is new but it is not the carpet kit for corvettes but it looks good anyway. Original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks. It does need a new convertible top, however the original frame is all intact and in working condition. The head lights are not automatic but need to be raised manually as this was how it was when we bought it, no vacuum hardware on the lights. The tires will need to be replaced. My dad bought this car for my mom in 1977 and she drove it very little, I drove it more than her. The car has been off the road since 1984 but has been garage kept since then. I have been working on the car for the past two years to get it back to road worthy since it had been sitting for all those years. I have all the tickets for the new parts that have been recently installed or reworked. For further info and details you can call me at (540) 473-1737 or ask questions via the contact seller module. I am out most of the day so please leave a clear phone number and your name and I will call you back when I get in. I would appreciate no calls after 10:00 EST. Thanks for your interest and if you have ANY questions or anything in the description is not clear PLEASE ask because this car will be sold AS IS. This car is advertised locally as well so I reserve the right to end this auction if it sells locally first.
