1957 chevrolet EL CAMINO CUSTOM CONVERTIBLE, This car was custom built in California, and finally made it's way to Mississippi. I aquired the car and restored it , It has a fresh 1970 396 engine, Cast # 3969864, date coded 1-12-70, the heads are 1969, date coded,8-26-69, and 8-31 60, cast #'s 3911063. It has fresh roller rockers with hydraulic lifters, and a stage 1 cam by melling #22100. Everything in engine is new, including pistons. It has a 400 turbo connected to a 9" ford rearend. The bed is solid oak finished in clear varnish. 4 wheel disc brakes, custom gauges (NEW), bucket seats, The aluminum quarters are air brushed along with the el camino scripts on the quarters, and the hood. 5 feet away they look like emblems. There are no signs of rust on the car. The car runs very strong and drives very well, and is a head turner on the road and at shows. It has a new windshield that has been chopped 3".
