Vehicle Detail

This is a relisting. Some of the information has changed from the first listing, so please read carefully. It has no reserve and the starting bid has been lowered to compensate for possible carb change. We are not accepting any bids from outside of the United States. Also, we WILL NOT accept any offers outside of ebay. If you are interested in this vehicle.... please read all of the following details BEFORE placing your bid. My husband has for sell this 1972 Dodge Charger that he has had for about 14 years. It has a rebuilt 440 stock engine with less than 1000 miles, a new Holley 600 Carburetor, and a 727 Transmission. The front suspension has been rebuilt. The brakes and calipers have been replaced. It has power disc brakes on the front and drums on the rear with a 8 1/4 axel. It has power steering and Dodge police wheels with new tires. My husband traded for this car and it had been in a collision. He had a frame shop check the frame and they said that it needed some frame repair. He took a frame from a donor car and had it installed. The frame shop said that the frame was now stronger than the factory frame because of the bigger welds they used. This work was done 12 years ago. My husband replaced the hood, passenger fender, front bumper, lower valance, the k member, passenger side inner fender and core support. When he installed the hood, he had to add a spacer to the passenger side to get the gap on each side of the hood to align. This does not seem to hurt the integrity of the car. The hood also had some filler work done on the driver's side rear corner due to some rust, but it is OK now. Actually, my husband said that if he done anything else to make this car any more solid it would be to change the hood and he would certainly give it a re-paint. It is starting to show some ware. The car is solid and the rest of the car has not had any rust issues like most of this type of car has had. The windshield needs to be replaced. It is still usable but it does have 2 cracks. He did not have a full set of 72 grills, so he used 71 grills and went ahead and switched the taillights to match - going for that 71 look. The interior of the car is pretty much stock with some ware on the driver's side of the seat. This is the worst part of the interior. The rest is in good shape. The carpet is "car carpet", but it is not "pre-molded" carpet. It has solid interior floors. The inside is still all original sheet metal and does not have to be replaced. The body is in very good condition - Solid metal with very little filler work. Trunk floor is original and very solid. Around the front and back windows is solid. This car runs and drives good. It currently has a 2 core radiator that has been flushed and cleaned out but it really needs a 3 core because it tends to heat up a little in "stop and go" traffic. My husband said that it had to be the radiator because the motor has been rebuilt in the past 5 years with a new water pump and a new thermostat. The motor has very low mileage mostly from test driving and breaking in the motor. (Speedometer shows 100,000+ original miles before rebuild.) The car has been covered since Nov. 2009. At that time my husband put stableizer in the tank. When he got it out to get it ready to sell a few days ago, he noticed that there was a leak in the power steering. Also, even though the carbureator is new, it has a dead spot off the line. He has put cleaner through it and will keep test driving it to see if it clears up. The car will be sold with a clear, state of Georgia, Bill of Sale. Also, buyer will receive a "Vehicle and Title Information Sheet" from the state of Georgia that shows that there is NO LIENS against the car. We are PayPal approved, and require a deposit of $500.00 (non-refundable)(US currency only) within 24 hrs. of the auction end. We require the final payment to be paid with cash in person when the car is picked up within 7 days of the auction end. The buyer will be responsible for pickup and delivery of the vehicle. We will be glad to answer any questions VIA EMAIL ONLY.... unless you are a frequent bidder. Our number is unlisted and will only be available to the frequent bidders. Any questions ask by email may be posted to the public, unless it contains personal information. We hope this car is what you've been looking for. Happy bidding and have a blessed day! On Aug-13-10 at 21:51:35 PDT, seller added the following information: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION..... PLEASE READ My husband has checked the carburetor problem that we mentioned in the item description when we first relisted the car and there is something wrong with the carb. It will have to be replaced. I believe I have contacted personally all bidders involved. I hope I did not miss anyone. Please consider this new information before bidding.
