Another unique find here at The Auto House- I represent what I know and what I see. I will not end the auction early and will respond to emails and phone calls within a reasonable amount of time. Mike 925-634-2227 1973 Jeep Commando, clean title, 3 speed 4x4 with a highly modified motor-- the miles are unknown!! Engine- the previous owner must have spent a pretty good amount on this motor!! It appears to be an AMC 304 V8 with an Edelbrock 4 barrel carb, Edelbrock performance intake manifold- headers to glasspacks underneath. The motor sounds to have a cam but this can not be verified without tearing it down. It has and electric fuel pump to back up the regular pump--probably for rock crawling- all the gaskets look new- I had three mechanics look at the motor and this is our conclusion-- all I know is that it is strong! Clutch is rock solid- tranny shifts fine with 4x4 engaging- Interior- headliner is falling in some spots- back seat is a different color- front seats are ok but the material is worn- Exterior- needs paint as you can tell by the pictures- the blue is faded- the top is fine with some surface rust around the edges. The back bumper is missing. Door jambs are rust free- the only rear rust corrosion is on the lower right side rocker below the door- nothing major The jeep needs the gas filler neck to the tank which I pictured. We had to put the tank on it just put a flex hose to fill the tank--I have the skid plate for the tank which is not pictured. Dana rear end, transfer case underneath- This Jeep is FAST!! Top comes off of course- selling it as is where is with no implied warranty of anykind- it is CA registered until June of 2011.
