1982 Honda Gold Wing

For auction is a 1982 Honda GL1100 Goldwing. This Interstate model has been somewhat standardized and is in complete, running condition. Recent work includes carburetors rebuilt using quality K&L kits, air cut-off valves and accelerator pump, air filter, oil and filter, fuel filter, new battery, new starter, differential lube changed and fresh coolant. All lighting and other electrics are working. Front portion of wiring harness is not normally seen on the dressed models and is presently bundled behind the headlight and may want to be concealed in some other way. Brakes are working. Valves have been adjusted to specification and new Gates timing belts installed. Fuel tank was Kreemed by previous owner and is in good, servicable condition. Seat has a couple of small places where the stitching has let go but looks good and sits comfortably. Exhaust system is very solid but has some light damage to the right hand side muffler and header shield. It functions normally however and has a really nice tone. Tires are decent with at least 50% tread. Rear air shocks leak down and will need rebuilding before doing any spirited cornering. Instruments are intact and working. Comes with matching factory trunk (not pictured) which includes trunk top luggage rack. Ignition key works the side bags, trunk, helmet lock and fuel fill door locks. Cables operate smoothly and transmission shifts well. Carburetors have been vacuum synchronized and the engine starts easily, idles well and runs strong. It has been giving between 38 and 42 mpg commuting to work. I have put 1400 miles on it without any issues over the past month or so. I consider it a project as the things mentioned will need some attention or may want to be changed by a new owner.... Bike looks pretty nice overall but does have some nicks and scratches here and there. Solid bike with lots of potential ! .... There is a reasonable reserve. Sold as is and without warranty. Sold with bill of sale only. Buyer responsible for pick up or shipping arrangements. If sold, I would prefer the requested deposit through pay pal and the balance when bike picked up.
