Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1998 Chevrolet S-10 pick up....... it has been retrofitted with a 2004 5.3L all aluminum engine with a 6 speed manual T56 2005 GTO Transmission. The engine has a Z06 Corvette camshaft and valve springs, and LS6 Intake - other than that the engine is bone stock and runs great, just like it would in its original car. It has all of the fuel injection and gets 25mpg on the highway and around 20 in town. Engine work was done less than 8000 miles ago. The transmission was fully rebuilt by the local dealer and shifts great. This truck has a posi rear (Zexel) out of a 2002 Trans Am. It has a Be Cool Aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. Truck also has a B&M ripper short throw shifter. All of the factory gauges work and function just like stock except the spedo and it needs a speed sensor for that to function properly. The only thing on the truck that does not work is the air. It has been lowered 6 inches in the rear and front and it is rolling on powder coated Boyd Coddington wheels and new Mickey Thompson E/T street radials and 245 Daytona's in the front (all less than 1500 miles). Also added to the Truck is Calvert Racing Cal Trac Traction bars. Truck is 100% mechanicaly sound! Runs and sounds great. Brand new paint - Truck was media blasted all the way to the metal, primed and painted in PPG Hot Rod Black. This is a matte finish (as you can see in the photos). The interior is in good shape other than normal wear on the drivers seat and some small stains on the carpet where your feet go that are covered by the floormats. The stereo is a Pioneer Deck and MB Quart component set and a pair of Polk 4 inch dash speakers. Remote start was recently added and power keyless entry, so it actually has power locks and a full remote start - not a cheap aftermarket China kit - it is a CompuStar full system......has the alarm light on windshield and full functioning lights. I can no longer keep the truck or continue to work on it due to having too many projects and not enough time, wife says it has to go. This is one of the baddest little trucks on the road. I am trying to sell the truck locally also, I reserve the right to end the auction early. Any questions, please let me know! Thanks for looking and good luck! This is a no reserve auction, starting at $5,000 which is SERIOUSLY below what it would cost to ever build a truck like this.
