I bought this as a project bike, but I do not have the time for it with 4 kids. It ran as of last year, and I just started it tonight, the clutch is screwed up on it which is why I stopped riding it, I can power shift it fine. I also bought a new bike and this one is just sitting here. I think the floats need to be adjusted and it could use a new ignition coil. I put a new chain on the bike. There is no battery; I used the one from my mower to start it tonight. I replaced the gas floats one this past year and the other about 6 years ago. I have also replaced the clutch pushrod, cable, put new clutch frictions pads on it but the clutch still does not work, don’t know why but I’m not a mechanic. I sealed the gas tank about 6 years ago and replaced the gas cap; the tank has a small dent in it. I also stripped the Honda tag off the tank and painted it black. One of the cylinder spark plug holes got stripped out so I put a healy coil in there and haven’t tried changing the spark plug since then. The seat I had to replace with another that had to be modified. The seat had a lock on it that I had to cut off but it works fine. There are no tools with the bike someone stole them off the bike while I was at work; pretty pathetic but whatever..:) The date stamp on the tag says 12/71. One other thing I replaced the original headlight with one of the newer headlights that you can just replace the bulb instead of having to purchase the whole light assembly. I have the title in hand. I also have an extra clutch basket that I was going to try on the bike, that can go with the winner too.
