Vehicle Detail
This car was previously in an accident, not a collison, but scratched up pretty bad on a concrete wall. The right side fender needs to be replaced (or the dent can be pulled out), if you are looking to repair the car I can get the parts for you for $80 a piece from a Mercedes Dismantler in my area. The passenger door has some scratches as well and will need some paint repair (easy to do yourself with some putty/compound, sanding block and matching paint). The right headlight cover and bulb was replaced due to the damage. This car has 176,673 mile, but runs and drives pretty good. This car has a salvage title because it was sold at an auction not because of the damage (i'm sure the vehicle report will not show any accidents, to prove this), but the car can be registered with a DMV after DMV inspection. This car is located in Northern California and can be shipped anywhere, I can also you with with shipping of the car. This car can also be used for parts if you have a similar model car (2000-2002) and just want the parts. Q. What's wrong with the car? A. I am not a mechanic so, I can't really be sure but, as far as I can tell the fenders need to be replaced, the passengers side of the car needs` paint repair (personally I would repaint the whole car since parts are being replaced and the car is 10 years old), the front and rear bumper needs paint repair, in my personal opinion this car is dirty and needs to be heavily cleaned (carpets, seats, etc.) after looking at it last night I also found some other small defects that I would like to inform people of, the glove box lock does not lock/stay closed and there is one button (radio)missing from the dashboard. Q. Why is the car so cheap? A. Honestly, I think the car is priced appropriately, the car has high mileage over 175,000 miles, the car is 10 years old, and the car needs some repairs and possibly some mechanical work (tune up, oil change, etc). This car is defiantly not perfect. I would not feel comfortable asking retail value on this car, because I know that the auction winner will need to invest some time and money into the car. In addition, my company bought this car at an auction, so I have no person attachment to it.
