1977 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Landau. This is the rare 2 door model with the 3 sided rear window. Overall this car is in good condition for its age. It is a one family owned car, going from the Uncle to the Mother to the Nephew. When the Uncle passed away the title was transferred to his mother and the car was given to one of the grandchildren. He drove the car for a while and then decided to rebuild the engine. I cannot verify the engine rebuild as I do not have any receipts for it. It does run out very well. It has a new carb (4bbl) that needs a few adjustments. It also has new exhaust front to back. Duals with glasspacks...sounds pretty good. Also has new battery and heater core. The heater core has not been hooked up, but it has been installed. The a/c is there, but I don't know if it works as I have not had the freon charged. It does have a used compressor installed as the other one was froze up. Tires are good, but the brakes seem a little soft to me. I don't normally deal with chevys, I am a ford guy. The paint is original and the car has never been wrecked that I can tell. There are a few small rust spots here and there, I tried to show them in the pics. There are also a few dings on the drivers side of the car, one on the front fender and one on the drivers side door. It has a little hail damage to the hood and both sides of the trunk lid, but the trunk lid does not have any hail damage. I tried to show the hail damage in the pics, but don't know how well you will be able to see them. There is also a few spots on the hood where something was spilled and damaged the paint, I also tried to show that in the pics. The interior is pretty nice velour, but showing wear. It is missing the passenger side door pull and the door pull cover on the drivers side. I was told the dash has been replaced once due to cracks. It was replaced with a red one dyed blue and some of the blue is coming off. It has 129,000 miles on the odometer. The engine and transmission are performing the way they should. The engine has a hiccup or two, think it is the new carb needing adjustment. The transmission shifts out fine like it should. The transmission is a little slow going into reverse, but it does go into reverse just fine. The car has been sitting for the last two years so I would NOT recommend driving it away. I would definitely transport it and drive it around a little until you got to know the car a little better. I recommend this for all the cars I sell for your satisfaction and mine. The radio is a new one and works, but I cannot get the volume to go down so I have it turned off. It sounds pretty good, but is loud right now. It also needs to have the radio adapter installed to hold it in the correct place in the dash. It is loaded with all the bells and whistles that were offered that year except the sunroof and power seat. Look at the pics and ask any and all questions before the listing ends.
