Vehicle Detail

I purchased this Nova solely for the desirable, complete power train, but have now decided not to build the 38 Plymouth coupe project it was going into. It has only been setting outside for the last nine months - prior to that it was stored indoors or garaged. The vehicle sells on a Bill of Sale. I have a Kansas title for the vehicle, but it appears not to have been completed properly the previous sale - the new owner is welcome to it. Title paperwork can be obtained from http://broadwaytitle.com, for a fee, if that is important to you - your responsibility. The good: The mileage appears to be correct on the power train - a 350 engine, 350 trans, and 2.73:1 ratio rear end - very nice builder combination. It has a good battery. The radiator shows no signs of leaking. The body sheet metal is good and solid, as best I have been able to determine, except for a small amount of easily patched rust through on the drivers side front and rear lower panels. The bumpers are not dented or bent, the chrome is driver quality. Seats are in good original condition. All glass is good except the windshield. The exhaust system is good. Original wheel covers are in place. So there are lots of body and panel parts available for you two door Nova owners and you can sell the balance, or it will make a solid rebuild/customization base. I have only driven it onto and off of the transportation trailer, therefore I have no idea how it drives or performs. It does start up easily and runs reasonably well (given the disconnected pollution items), and the trans responds to the gear shift selector properly - beyond that I make no claim. The bad: The finish is faded and starting to show isolated surface rust. The pollution control equipment appears to be disabled/removed. The power steering pump is in place, but without a belt so the power steering operation is unknown. The brakes do not hold reliably, but did when I bough it (park brakes operates) - the power brake booster is not hooked up regardless. The trans seal leaks. Various electrical items do not work, the radio wiring is hanging down and the radio is missing. The dash has cracks in the vinyl. There is a small crease on the right upper rear sheet metal by the trunk lid as shown in the picture. The trunk lock is missing. The windshield glass is cracked. The tires have tread, but I am sure have dry rot and should be replaced prior to driving it on the road. The spare tire leaks, there is no jack. It is not road legal currently. Summary: Be sure you ask all questions necessary for you to decide if the Nova is what you want and it's valve to you. I will answer your questions to the best of my ability, openly and honestly as you can tell from my feedback score, but I am not an expert, just someone who enjoys the automotive restoration hobby. If you are near me I welcome a personal inspection. I have no one running the bid, so if you are out bid it is a real bidder - bid higher if you want it. Only bid if you are serious as a bid is a contractual commitment to purchase the Nova. I have it listed elsewhere and reserve the right to end the auction early. A $250 PayPal deposit is due 48 hours after your winning bid and full payment in the form of PayPal, cashiers check, or cash in person is due in 7 days. The vehicle will not be released for pick up until all PayPal payments have been released into my account, usually two to three work days. You are responsible for arranging and paying for the Nova's transportation. I will gladly hold it for you up to thirty days following receipt of payment, but am not responsible for it - it will be stored outdoor. If you arrange for pickup I suggest you represent it as non-operational owing to the lack of braking currently. Good luck bidding - let me know if I can be of assistance.
