Vehicle Detail

Do to a non-paying bidder, my truck is on the auction block again. Up for sale is a 1961 International Harvester 1/2 ton truck- Daily driver! This truck has spent most of it's life in the foothills of southern/central California. As you can see, it is mostly original and has not been cut on or messed with, it really is a very clean surviving truck. It is a short bed fleetside. I'll tell you all about the mechanical stuff first. The engine is a V8 (I think it's the 345 but not positive), it has been rebuilt and has about 25-30k on it. I don't have any paper work on the motor, but I've know this truck for years. The motor always fires right up and has never left me stranded-it runs nice and quiet. It does sometimes smoke for a minute when you start it if you haven fired it up for a few days but only for a few minutes, nothing too bad but noteworthy nonetheless. The motor doesn't leak oil either. It does leak a little bit of coolant (about the size of a quarter in days time) out of a freezeplug on the drivers side head-not bad but would need that freeze plug replaced someday, I've been driving it a while now and it doesn't bother me but you might be different. This truck has power steering as well! It works great, especially driving around town, I just replaced the seals in the steering box so its leak free as well. The trans is a 4 speed on the floor, and it shifts through all the gears just like it should, no oil leaks from the trans either. The clutch has just been bled and a new slave cylinder installed. The rear end is nice and quiet and leak free as well. All the fluids bumper to bumper have just been replaced. The brakes are all new and work great as well. Here is a list of the new parts-carbuerator, clutch slave cylinder, seals in steering box, all new wheel cylinders, all new brake shoes, wheel bearings packed, new battery, and a new muffler. I just spent a bunch of money on this truck, my loss your gain. The e-brake was adjusted and works perfectly. You can drive this truck anywhere!!! Now for the body. The outer body is rust free and is on its second paint job. It has a great patina look. The truck is pretty straight, it does have a few dings and only two noteable dents. The roof has been dented and pulled out at one time. The doors, hood and tailgate all open and close as they should. The doors lock just fine (I have the original keys). The glass is in pretty good shape and is not cracked. The seat upholstery is older and shows use, but work fine for a shop/daily driver truck. The floor boards do have some rust holes as you can see in the pics. They would be easy to replace, I own a restoration shop and would replace them if the buyer is interested (for a fee). The rust is limited just to the front floors though. The tires are about 50-60%. The rims have just been nicely painted and the original hubcaps have new chrome. The truck needs carpet, and some weather stripping/window felt attention. The wipers and heater work fine. Speedo needs a cable. All the gauges except the oil pressure work. All the lights work (except it needs a license plate light), blinkers work too. It still has the original matching California black plates, it is tagged untill 2011, and the title is clear and in my name as well. Overall this a great running and driving truck. These trucks don't come around very often. Any questions feel free to call Tim, 559-936-9253, email-timgowett@yahoo.com Thanks for looking and good luck!!! All trade offers will be considered! The truck is for sale or trade locally, and will be pulled off of ebay if it sells before the auction end if the reserve has not been met. I can deliver for a fee, please contact me with your location so I can give you a price if interested, thanks. I'm an honest seller, please be an honest bidder!!!
