Vehicle Detail

I've lowered my reserve price to $2000 to make someone a sweet deal on a great running truck! Due to circumstances in my life, I've got to sell so up for auction is my 81 Rabbit Pickup. The truck is black with grey interior, 4 cylinder GAS motor with 5 speed manual transmission. The things that I know have been done recently are a new battery, new strut tower bushings, new fuel filter, new plugs, wires, distributor cap & rotor, coolant flush and fill, new thermostat, new BFG Touring TA tires with less than 500 miles, new door panel vinyl, re-painted the dash, painted front bumper, painted grille, re-painted and added the GTI lower air dam, Pioneer stereo with Pioneer 6 disk CD player, and just a ton of cleaning. I added the snowflake wheels when I put on the new tires. The wheels on the passenger side have been polished because the original finish was in terrible shape. I haven't done the 2 on the drivers side yet, they actually still look pretty good. The bed is solid with only very minor surface rust. I've had my 450lb motorcycle in there a few times with no problems. I've had the truck for a few months and when I bought it was told that it belonged to the little old lady across the street who bought it new and used it as her farm truck. She passed away and it was given to the guy that I bought it from. There was a period of time that it sat, I don't know how long but it was really dirty when I got it, even some hornet nests in a couple of places. I was told that it was repainted about 7 years ago, and it was originally black. It's actually a pretty good paint job, there are a few chips and scratches here and there, but I would give it a 7-8 out of 10. I've put close to 1000 miles on it and it's run like a champ! I'd drive it anywhere!!! With the good comes the bad, ( or not really that bad ). There is a crack in the windshield in the lower left corner. It doesn't leak and it is out of your line of sight. The odometer has stopped working and I've been keeping track with my GPS, It's approximately168000 miles. The speedometer still functions properly. There are a few rusty spots underneath that I've tried to show in the photos. The biggest one is in the driver side front wheel well. It actually is visible from the inside with the carpet pulled back. I haven't driven the truck in the rain to know if it leaks, but I can feel the breeze when driving so I'm assuming that water will get in. I bought the truck as a small project and a parts hauler and knew that I would never have it in the weather. The strut towers are still very solid, but there are a few rust areas under the hood. There is one small rust spot in front of the driver side rear wheel that I've tried to show in the photos. That is the only one visible from the outside. The truck looks great from 20 feet away and still not too bad when you're right beside it. Buyer is responsible for picking up or shipping the vehicle. The vehicle is being sold AS-IS with no known issues other than what I've described to the best of my abilities. Here is a photobucket link with some higher res photos that will hopefully work, if not just copy and paste the link. http://s986.photobucket.com/albums/ae341/digitalmanchris/VW%20Caddy%20Pickup/?albumview=slideshow&track=share_email_album_view_click
