Vehicle Detail
1989 Toyota Celica NO RESERVE!! My son has left for school and asked me to sell his car. It has been a dependable car since he's had it. The car has had regular oil changes when needed and runs well. It passed CA. smog on 5/17/10 with no problems. Car comes with original owners manual and maintenace receipts. The interior is clean with a some stains on the seats and 2 small holes. The dash is in very good shape. No stereo is included. The engine runs smooth, but from the stains on my driveway, it obviously has an oil leak(s). The transmission shifts as it should. The A/C blows cold The tires should be replaced soon, but are still driveable for now. The body is free of dents, but does have many scratches. My mechanic told me that the CV joints need replacing. The antenna is broken Gets great gas mileage and has plenty of power. It would be a great commuter car or first car for a teen. Im sure this car has alot of life left in it, but its not being used anymore by our family. My mechanic told me it should not be driven long distances until the CV joints are replaced. Other than the CV joints, I feel it could be driven anywhere. Feel free to ask as many questions as you would like. I 've tried to list this car as honestly as possible, but Im not a mechanic. PLEASE if your able, drop by and see the car. Thanks for looking! On Aug-03-10 at 07:43:00 PDT, seller added the following information: I couldnt tell there is anything wrong with the car when I drove it. When I took the car in for an oil change, the mechanic said the CV joint boots were torn and they needed to be replaced. It still gets driven every now and then, and I havent had any problems. I dont know how long of a trip the CV joints will last. I want to be as honest as possible so you know just what your getting. On Aug-04-10 at 11:23:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Because of so many questions, I took the car to the mechanic today. He told me the CV joints definatley need to be replaced.
