Vehicle Detail
Here is an awsome 4x4 from the 1960's. A true off-road King! I found this Jeep by accident a few years ago and purchased it to use to travel to the beach with my longboard... perfect size to hold my 9'6" longboard inside rather than on top. This Jeep has aggressive power with the 1965 Pontiac 389 V8 transplant replaced of the original 327 Chevy. This is a race machine in classic 4x4 fun! I've attempted to hold onto this Jeep and make a classic show piece of her but she just sits with limited drives around the block. I need to sell her for the restoration of my 68' VW Westfalia that now carries my surfboard. Many have asked if I would sell her before when I was driving her but she is has such a classic look I couldn't until now. She has a brand new custom drive shaft and 31"x10.5" all terrain tires not yet broken in. She rides wonderfully and is classic in style turning heads when I was driving her. Interior paint is in great condition and classic metal dash! Some features are for your adventure to discover, some extra gauges, switches for which one is connected to an electronic fuel pump currently used. A new mechanical pump would be desired for about $45 but you may want a high performance unit or set up which will be up to you. It runs fine on the electric but not for performance purposes; the tires will spin! Exterior paint; some fading and deterioration. Nothing major and all real metal all-around... no bondo! The front seat sags at the driver postion. The rear seat folds folds forward for plenty of cargo space. Rear window is crank handle up and down. 2" lift for some basic clearance advantages, classic running boards for convenience of entry/exit and some side panel protection. Chrome bumpers, dual gas tanks, etc. This is a Jeep that will find a new home and be appreciated. I will answer any questions that I can. Registration in CA is expired by two years. I only drive her around the block for fun now and then. She sits in my carport in anticipation of a new home and adventure. 12/16/1993 Vehicle was retagged through California Bureau of Automobile Repair with the 6.4L 1965 Pontiac motor. The owner at the time felt it was necessary to officially change the desciption of the vehicle according to the new powerplant installed. See picture included. I don't know what else to share. Turn key with impressive power and sound of a true powerhouse 4x4 in need of a better home. Classic apprearance and a few improvements would make her the envious rival to many enthusiasts. See the pics and ask for more if need be!
