Vehicle Detail
1930 Dodge Brothers 4 door Sedan 6 cylinder engine. 3 speed manuel transmision. Older fully restored vehicle. Sat for several years in a garage until we acquired it. Still looks very nice, but has some blemishes. I have tried to show them in the photos. There are areas on the hood where the paint has peeled a bit. Also scratches here and there, but still overall looks very nice. At the rear edge of the roof is a small crease. It appears someone backed it into a garage that was not high enough and caused the small crease. No rust anywhere that I can see. Even the frame appears to have been cleaned and painted black during its restoration. The bumpers and radiator shell also appear to have been re-plated. They still look nice. The whole car could use a good buffing which would improve its looks greatly. The engine runs well. No knocks and doesn't smoke. The car drives down the road straight and solid. The speedometer is not working, though the cable is there. The inside cable may be broke. A friend following me said we were going about 50 mph. The ammeter and oil pressure gauge work fine. The fuel gauge says half full, but I am not sure it is working. The car does have an electrical problem: The headlights, tail lights, cowl lamps, horn, brake lights, and turn signals all work at times. I have not had the time to see if there is a ground problem or what. Some times none of the lights or horn works, and other times it all works as it should. The after market turn signal wires are the exposed wires seen in some of the photos. It also has a 2nd tail light put on for safety. It also works when the rest of the lights are working. The original drivers side tail light is cracked, and there is some rust on the housing. The car does have a 6 volt electric fuel pump installed. The body and fenders are all very straight. The running boards are very nice. It appears when the car was restored a very quality job had been done. Brakes are good (hydrallic). Emergency brake also works. The interior was also re-done during the restoration. It has a small mark on the headliner. The photo shows the mark faintly. All of the windows work. It appears all of the door handles and window cranks were also re-plated. The top is in good shape. No leaks. The wood wheels are in excellent condition. The tires are brand new. You can see in the photos that the "molding tips" are still on the tread surface. I have tried to describe the car as best as possible.
