I purchased this vehicle approximately 5 years ago through the state employees credit union. The loan officer told me the vehicles low blue book at the time was $10,000 I have a little more than that invested into the vehicle, but I am moving so I need to sell it. I will not accept any trades or any unreasonably low offers I'm already losing a lot of money. I start and drive the vehicle at least once a week. I have replaced almost all the brake system, the starter, generator, exhaust system now it has a dual header exhaust, steering wheel, has a new battery, replaced other things here and there. The man who owned it before me brought it from California he told me that he used to race them over there, he said that the motor had some racing parts installed I'm not sure if that is true or not, but it does have more power than Volkswagen's I've known in the past. Vehicle is a unique collector's item for the reason it was designed and sold as a Karman Volkswagen Beetle. Also it is a convertible which is becoming more and more rare. The motor is a four cylinder 1600 dual port with a header exhaust system single carburetor. Transmission is a four speed Manual transmission. The motor has been rebuilt by previous owner so the mileage is not correct. Vehicle does not contain seat belts not sure if it ever had them. All four fenders do have some damage on the underside more so in the front. But fenders can be easily replaced ther just bolt on, no welding required. Was planning on putting new ones on and having them potter coated just never got around to it. Vehicle does run very well, but the vehicle is still in the process of being restored. Vehicle has many speakers installed in it and I will include a stereo and some amplifiers as well but they are not installed stereo and amplifiers are in used condition. Vehicle is sold as is no warranty, full payment must be made within one week no exceptions and the vehicle must be picked up within two weeks I cannot store the vehicle, a $500.00 deposit is required at the time of purchase, it is non refundable if you do not pick up the vehicle or do not want it for some reason or another the $500.00 will be kept as payment for my inconvenience.
