Vehicle Detail
This is a RARE, unmolested classic that I bought for my personal collection in 2003, and stored in my temperature and humidity controlled storage area, for the day I could do a frame off clean-up. This machine ran perfectly with no smoking, or clanking, or clutch slipping when I put it away with my other bikes and I guaranty that this machine will run. I am the 3rd owner, having purchased the bike from a guy who was also going to restore it, but didn't. The bike has not been dropped or laid down, and is remarkably good shape for it's age. The tires are very nice, and I assume they were replaced as they surely do not have 7500 miles on them...perhaps a hundred or two. There is some rust on the front wheel plate, and the fork rubbers need replacement as will the seals to the fork, though it shows no signs of leaking. I have all new turn signals for it, and a brand new set of jugs which cost plenty as they came straight from England, and are still in the box. These mufflers look good, but they are not perfect anymore. I also have a new headlight shell which will go along with it too, but I didn't find the headlight ring which will need replacement because it is quite pitted. The seat is near perfect, and aside from some painting and chrome cleanup this bike won't need much. I also have a brand new rubber for the kicker. Now I don't have to sell this bike, as I said, I was waiting for the day that I would have more time on my hands to do the work...a labor of love for an old bike that has lots of life in it. If someone out there is looking for a good solid bike to bring back to factory colors, this has to be one of the few still sitting around that someone didn't already bugger up. Study the pictures...they tell no lies. If you have questions, or want to see the bike, feel free to drop me a note and I will be happy to show it to you. Life is short...and sometimes you have to grab a handful and do something you wouldn't normally do. This is one sweet bike which had good owners...and I intend to pass it on to someone who will put the shine back in it and ride it! Bike is in Northern Macomb County, Michigan. This auction will run it's full course...unless someone does the buy it now thing. If your a scammer....please do us both a favor, and forget about emailing me, because I know all about your stupid tricks and I have a whole pile of "uncashed" checks sitting in the corner from idiots trying to extort money or toys out of me. Please don't bid and then email that you made a mistake...if you don't have the money for this...do us both a favor and watch but don't bid. This is a great machine, one of the best that Triumph developed, sister bike to the bonnie, but smoother running. You won't be disappointed with this one. These were highly refined British masterpieces. Changes came slowly and that's what made them so very nice to own. Snowgoer49@gmail.com
