This is a 1985 Toyota 4 Runner that has being converted to a rock crawler and/or off-road vehicle. This project still needs to be finished. It has the 2.4 liter fuel injected engine. It is 22R 4 cylinder gasoline engine. The mileage shows 128,682 but will be sold as exempt mileage We were financing a dealer that went out of business . His son was restoring this vehicle and ran out of money. Now we have the vehicle with a clear title and are going to sell it absolute to the highest bidder with only a small reserve. We are going to start the bid at the cost of 4 tires ($308 each with the 5th tire free) so, even if you bid the minimum, the vehicle is free. It is being sold AS IS and only for off-road use. It does come with a good title that can be registered if the vehicle is deemed to be roadworthy. The engine sounds fine and the transmission works fine. See notes below as to what it still needs. It needs the following: - brakes need some work and the brake caliper on the left front is loose - needs a new clutch mater cylinder - rear glass window is down in the tract but we do not know how to get it up, window motor possibly does not work - you may not want the window anyway - Steering box needs to be properly calibrated (it favors left side) - Needs new shocks, the existing ones are too short ( we may be able to give you a set of used shocks but no guarantees) - Needs leaf spring bolts - Front drive shaft needs to be lengthened (shaft is working) - so.. only the rear wheels are moving now If you have further questions you can call me, David, 828-231-2185 or Kevin (the mechanic) at 828-215-1684
