. The car runs great. It has a sun roof and the hard to find automatic transmission, The car does have three minor issue. First, the original outside rocker panels have been replaced with some type of aluminum panels. I am not really sure why, it was this way when I bough it. You can see them in the photos. The rocker covers can be purchased on ebay for around 200 bucks or so if the aluminum ones do not suite you. Next, the air bag light is on. I had the vehicle scanned by Vag-com ODBII scanner and it did not showing a fault for the airbags. So I do not know why it is on. The only other negative thing is the seat passenger seat bracket is broke. It works fine and is not a big factor, but I want to let you know. The car has some light scratches and dings but not really noticeable. In excellent condition, the car is valued at $6800 via Kelly?s Blue and 6200 via NADA. I have the car priced accordingly since it is not in excellent condition at half that price. Most VW bugs from 1998 - 2002 listed on cragslist and autotrader are manual transmissions with 120000 ? 170000 miles priced in the $4500to $5500 range. Automatic transmission generally cost $1500 more that the manual transmission. This one has low mileage, automatic and a cheap price. The price is starting out at $3500. I The car drives well and I would not mind keeping it; I just have too many vehicles. I would take partial trade on boat, camper or Jet Ski. Please no offers for any other vehicle.
