2000 CHEVROLET 2500, 4X4, UTILITY TRUCK, RAILROAD TRUCK, TRADES, AND/OR MECHANIC TRUCK. I WAS GOING 65 DOWN THE ROAD, WITHOUT SHAKING/PROBLEMS. IT SHIFTED FINE. THE 4WD ENGAGED. THE STEERING WHEEL NEEDS TO BE REPLACED (RUBBER IS BAD). THE CRUISE CONTROL WORKS. THE BRAKES ARE 'SQUISHY' AND THE ABS LIGHT IS ON.....SO PROBABLY NEEDS BRAKES. IT DID STOP THE TRUCK, BUT THE BRAKES WILL NEED TO BE ADDRESSED. DO NOT LET THE MILES FOOL YOU! THE TRUCK REALLY RUNS WELL! THE ENGINE IS STRONG! Up for sale is a Chevrolet 2500 Extended Cab 4X4 Truck that has many uses, left only to your imagination. The truck was previously owned by the Railroad Company. It is a 4X4 and it is an extended Cab. This is an extended cab, but there are NO REAR DOORS Their is NO REAR SEAT, just cargo area. The railgear is still there, but it is missing one wheel. I do have a wheel that I will include at no additional cost if you choose to continue to utilize as rail truck. I also do NOT have the adapters for the rail tires, but I DO have the rail tires if you would like to have the rail tires at an additional cost of $100.00. I have not tried to operate the rail gear. Most likely, you can cut off the rail gear and utilize as a regular 4X4 service truck at a great price. The specifics on the truck are as follows: * 2000 Chevrolet 2500 Extended Cab 4X4 * VIN: 1GCGK29R7YF428324 * Vortec 5.3L engine. It really runs great, and I think it might have been replaced, although not sure, but it sure sounds nice!!!! * Automatic Transmission * Push Button 4X4 and yes, it does work!!! * 231,979 Miles on Odometer * Strobe Light * Spot Light on Pillar * Air Conditioning blows cold! * Cruise Control and Tilt Wheel * RAIL GEAR - UNKNOWN CONDITION * Blue Interior - Bucket Seats in VERY good condition with center console * AM/FM Radio with Cassette * Backup Alarm * Vinyl Flooring * READING service cap on the box with ladder rack. * LT24575R16 Firestone Tires. Better than 50% easily tread left. Three of them are TRANSFORCE and one is a STEELTEX. Very nice tires with snap-on hubcaps. VEHICLE CONDITION: For the money, this is not a bad truck. It starts right up, sounds great, four wheel drive works, blows cold air, really good tires. It is an extended cab and it is a 4X4!!! It does have a lot of miles on it. There is rust on the rocker panels and rust on the lower part of the extended cab (see pics). It is rusted through in these areas, not HORRIBLE, but it is. There is some other surface rust on different corners, etc....of the box and cab and fenders, so take a look at the pictures, and you can see what I am referring to. The interior seats are in really good shape. The STEERING WHEEL is in rough shape, and could stand to be replaced. Must have had oily hands on it, etc....and it is chewed up, but still functional of course. The Reading Service Topper has surface rust consistent with the rest of the truck (see pics). I DO NOT HAVE A TAILGATE WITH THIS TRUCK. HOWEVER, I DO HAVE A YELLOW TAILGATE THAT WOULD WORK WITH THE TRUCK THAT I COULD SELL AFTER THE AUCTION FOR AN ADDITIONAL $125.00. JUST LET ME KNOW.
