Vehicle Detail

1968 CAMARO SS-RS... VERY RARE FACTORY BLACK WITH RED INTERIOR.. NUMBERS MATCHING... FACTORY A/C.... MY NAME IS LEE SMITH AND MY WIFE RENEE AND I HAVE BEEN IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY FOR THE PAST 16 YEARS. IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS WE WILL BE LISTING SOME OF OUR PRIZE COLLECTION OF CARS FOR SALE HERE ON EBAY.. AT THE PRESENT TIME THERE ARE OVER 85 CARS IN THE COLLECTION. THE CARS WE HAVE TO OFFER WILL BE SOME OF THE FINEST CARS OFFERED FOR SALE TODAY.. I AM A LICENSED VA DEALER AND ALL CARS SOLD ON EBAY WILL BE SOLD THROUGH MY DEALERSHIP TODAY'S AUTO. VADLR.. 1968 CAMARO SS-RS.. NUMBERS MATCH 396.. For sale is my original 1968 RSSS Camaro which was assembled during the third week of December 1967 (12C) in Norwood, OH. This Camaro retains it’s born with original numbers matching drive train, which consists of a 396 cubic-inch 325 horsepower engine (L35), Turbo Hydro-Matic 400 automatic 3-speed transmission (M40), and a 12-bolt posi-traction rear end with a 3:07 gear ratio (G80). There are several rare components associated with the car that are worth noting; such as, big block with AC, original black SS396 (GM stopped painting black mid-production year) with red interior, and very rare headrest. Have clear VA title in my name. I purchased this first generation Camaro in 2002 and immediately began a complete ground-up, frame-off, rotisserie restoration process, which took over four years to finish. The goal of this project was to put the vehicle back to a well deserved original condition, if not better than when it left the showroom floor. Car drives and runs as good as it looks. This is the real deal, as you will see, there are many many many original parts used during this restoration. Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance, Inc. authenticated, certified, and appraised the vehicle in May 2008, copy of the certification and report available upon request. Several hundred pictures of the entire restoration process will be included with the sale. Car has been involved with a couple studies conducted by CRG members, mainly the radiator tag and rare 68 headrest option. In my opinion, this vehicle belongs in someone’s collection, museum, or dealership, so others can enjoy a true original big block Camaro that retains the majority of its’ originality.
