THIS HAS A 31870 ACTUAL MILE CLEAR OHIO TITLE, NO RUST, & IS CLEAN. HERE IS A 1965 CHEVELLE MALIBU SS 2 DOOR RACE CAR. IT'S A REAL MALIBU SUPER SPORT VIN# 13837 WITH AN UNDER 32000 MILE CLEAR TITLE, HAS ZERO RUST, & HAS BEEN STORED INDOORS. I NEVER RACED IT, & ONLY DROVE IT WHEN MOVING IT ON A TRAILOR TO TAKE FROM STORAGE TO DIFFERENT STORAGE AREA. TO ME, IT REALLY HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT A COLLECTIBLE, A CLEAN RACE CAR TO OBSERVE, & IN CASE I EVER WANTED TO RACE IT, THEN I'D HAVE A REAL CLEAN RACE CAR TO DO IT WITH. I STILL HAVE NOT RACED IT & REALLY DON'T THINK I EVER WILL. I'M MUCH MORE BACK INTO STREETBIKES & HAVE LOST MY INTEREST IN CLASSIC OR RACE CARS. I WAS TOLD IT WAS A 10 SECOND CAR BUT NEVER PROVED IT & CAN TELL IT'S PROBABLY THAT FAST. NO SLOWER THAN 11'S FOR SURE. IT WEIGHS 3115 STOCK, & THIS HAS TO WEIGH A GOOD 500+ LBS LESS. IT HAS A 355 CI SMALL BLOCK CHEVY WITH ALUMINUM HEADS, NEW STAINLESS HEADERS WITH NEW FLOWMASTERS & HEADER CUT OFFS MISSING THE CAPS, 2 SPEED POWERGLIDE WITH T/BRAKE, LINE LOCK, RPM SELECTOR, 2 STEP, DELAY BOX, MSD 6AL IGNITION, STALL CONVERTER, ELECTRIC WATER PUMP, HOLLEY ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP, RECESSED FUEL CELL IN THE REAR, 488 GEARS, 12 BOLT REAR, FULL ROLL CAGE, FRONT DISC BRAKES. IT ALSO HAS LEXAN WINDOWS, ALUMINUM INSIDE PANELS, FIBERGLASS DOORS BUMPERS TRUNK LID & 1 PIECE FIBERGLASS FRONT END. I DON'T KNOW THE COMPRESSION RATIO OF THE THE MOTOR & I DON'T KNOW THE SPECS ON THE CRANK, RODS, PISTONS, OR WHOLE ROTATING ASSEMBLY, BUT IT FOR SURE HAS A MEAN CAMSHAFT IN IT, & USES RACE GAS ONLY. IT CURRENTLY HAS 110 OCTANE IN THE FUEL CELL & HAS HAD NOTHING ELSE. I'M NOT SURE WHAT SIZE THE STALL IS BUT THE RPM SELECTOR FOR THE 2-STEP IS SET AT 3600 RPM IF THAT HELPS DETERMINE. IT DOES STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL DASH WITHOUT SPEEDOMETER, TACHOMETER, ECT. THE BODY IS GREAT WITH ONLY A VERY FEW MARKS OR SCRATCHES. THE ONLY KNOWN ISSUES IT HAS ARE THE FUEL PUMP BLOCK OFF PLATE GASKET LEAKS A SMALL BIT, THE DIPSTICK LEAKS A LITTLE, & THE RADIATOR AT THE TOP DRIVER SIDE CORNER HAS AN UN-USED FACTORY OPENING THAT NEEDS PROPERLY BLOCKED OFF, IT'S CURRENTLY BLOCKED OFF WITH A CLAMP & WHITE TAPE IN THE PICTURES BUT WILL LEAK THROUGH THE TAPE ONCE WARMED UP. & LASTLY THE REAR LEXAN WINDO HAS A SMALL CRACK IN IT THAT'S PICTURED. THE MOTOR IS VERY VERY VERY GOOD, RUNS PERFECT, & STARTS UP RIGHT AWAY EVERY SINGLE TIME. IT ALWAYS HAS 60LBS OIL PRESSURE & GOES RIGHT ABOVE 70LBS WHEN BARELY REVVED TO 2 TO 2.5K RPM. EVERYONE TELLS ME THAT IF I KEEP IT I SHOULD PUT A TURBO 350 IN IT & IT MIGHT RUN HIGH 9'S, I'M NOT SURE IF THEY ARE RIGHT OR THE EXACT REASONING, BUT IT'S SOMETHING TO CONSIDER THINKING ABOUT IF YOU PURCHASE THIS CAR. IT HAS THE ON/OFF SWITCH ON THE RIGHT REAR ABOVE THE BRAKE LIGHT. THE TWO BATTERIES IN THE TRUNK ARE ALSO HOOKED TO 2 PRONGS UNDER THE BUMPER ON THE RIGHT SIDE TO CHARGE OR JUMP START IT. The car has no headlights, no turn signals, it does have 1 working brake light on the passenger side. I welcome anyone who would like to take a look at the car before bidding on it. IT IS THE BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY TO PICK THE CAR UP. I WILL NOT SHIP OR DELIVER THE CAR. On Jul-24-10 at 19:52:22 PDT, seller added the following information: TODAY IS JULY 24TH & I WANTED TO ADD A FEW BITS OF INFORMATION TO THIS LISTING. 2 ISSUES WITH THE RACE CAR THAT I EXPLAINED IN THE CURRENT DESCRIPTION WERE: 1st THE FUEL PUMP BLOCK OFF PLATE LEAKED, 2nd THE OIL DIPSTICK LEAKED. WHEN THE 1ST BID WAS PLACED FOR $7,999, I WENT AHEAD & PULLED THE CAR OUT OF THE WAREHOUSE TO CLEAN & DETAIL IT, SADLY FOR THE LAST TIME :( & I FOUND THAT I HAD A NEW UN-OPENED SET OF MOROSO VALVE COVER GASKETS UNDER THE SEAT, SO I WENT AHEAD & TOOK 10 MINUTES TO INSTALL THEM BUT DIDN'T STOP THERE. I ALSO FIXED THE FUEL PUMP BLOCK OFF PLATE WHICH DOESN'T LEAK ANYMORE, THEN I FIXED THE DIPSTICK WHICH DOESN'T LEAK NOW. LASTLY, I CHANGED THE HOSE CLAMP ON THE UN-USED HEATER OUTLET THAT LEAKED FROM THE RADIATOR, & JUST SCREWED A SMALL SCREW IN THE HOLE FOR AN IMPROVEMENT, IT'S NOT PROFESSIONAL, BUT IT'S A LARGE IMPROVEMENT FROM THE HOSE CLAMP. I DON'T THINK IT LEAKS ANY LONGER, BUT I CAN'T GUARANTEE IT WON'T LEAK NEAR REDLINE WITH A FULLY WARM MOTOR THAT IS BEING RACED, SINCE IT ISN'T THE MOST PROPER WAY TO FIX THE ISSUE. I LET THE CAR IDLE & WARM UP & DROVE IT LIKE A NORMAL STREET CAR AROUND THE PARKING LOT WITHOUT FLOORING IT, & IT DIDN'T LEAK A DROP FROM THE RADIATOR OR ANY OTHER AREA. ALL THE LEAKS ARE FIXED & THE RADIATOR IS THE ONLY ONE I'M NOT 100% SURE OF BEING FIXED, BUT THINK IT'S PROBABLY GOOD.
