I have for sale my own 1950 Dodge ½ Ton pickup that I purchased ten years ago to fix up, and it just is not moving up my list very fast so I figure someone more worthy should give it a shot. It was purchased running, but barely, as one cylinder had lost compression. The seller had been commuting around town with it until the engine went south. He claimed to be the second owner of it. Odometer show 75083 miles. I am selling this as a project vehicle that will require work before driving it. For a 60 year old vehicle, the body is fairly solid. Running boards are rusted, the floorboard is getting soft, but still there. Pass side of floorboard/fender area has been patched. Both front fenders have a rusted spot where a brace connects on the back side. Doors open and close fine, as does the hood. Plywood is installed in the bed, condition beneath is unknown. Seat and door panels look to have been recovered. Glass and weather strip will need redone. Most everything mechanical looks original. Still has the 6volt system, flathead 6cyl. Engine, and three speed transmission with column shift. Engine is not locked up, and trans. Was working when parked. Brake pedal goes to the floor now, but worked some when I bought it. Tires are in decent shape with a lot of tread. Included with the truck are a lot of parts that I started gathering to fix it up. I have the complete engine/trans/diff/driveshaft/tires/wheels/hubcaps, and more out of a 1949 Plymouth coupe that was being turned into a street rod. The engine looks the same as one in pickup, and was low mileage in running condition. I have had it stored inside my shop, and turn it over occasionally. All the other parts are also stored inside w/exception of wheels and diff. Truck will have to be picked up locally with a trailer, or other means. Shipping is not an option unless buyer makes all arrangements. I can assist with loading on trailer if needed (with tractor). I can also store the truck where it is for a reasonable amount of time, but FULL PAYMENT will be required within two weeks after sale. A $200.00 dollar non refundable deposit is required via PayPal within 24hrs. of auction end. I will not disclose my reserve, but it is not very high considering what I have in the truck.
