This auction is for a very nice '69 Chevelle SS396 Tribute Car. This car came from Portland, OR and spent most of it's life in Northern California. This car comes with the factory build sheet verifying the rare combination of factory equipment. This car has a posi-trac 10 bolt rear end (which has been rebuilt and upgraded to a 373 gear), factory tachometer and guages, rear window defogger, tilt wheel, vacuum operated power door locks, deluxe lighting group. This car also has DIO front bumper guards. The car was originally a 307 v8 and power glide automatic transmission, those have been replaced with a mild 355 v8 and a street strip TH350 transmission, both have less than 2000 miles on them. The rebuilt 355 has 9.5 to 1 compression trw pistons, comp 280 cam, mild port and polish to the heads, edelbrock 750 carb, gm hei ignition, accel 8.8 wires, chrome headers, dual flow master 2.5 inch exhaust, and more. The rebuilt transmission has a street strip shift kit, steel clutches and deep pan. The car runs and shifts great. As you can see from the pictures the engine compartment is clean and detailed The car has never been undercoated, and the floor pans and trunk floor are fantastic. The pans are clean and 99% rust free. The only rust spots that had to be repaired were the bottoms of the front fenders and a small amount around the wheel lips and behind the rear wheels. The paint and body work was done last fall by a local gm dealer dupont certified body shop. The car was painted with dupont base/ clearcoat blue streak pearl metallic, color sanded, buffed and polished. It looks spectacular!!! I also added a goodmark ss hood- no other panels were replaced.The interrior is stock bench- all new covers- new carpet- original headliner-am radio still in dash- added cd player in glovebox- did not want to cut up the dash....has a b&m floor shifter- guages- and tach. The factor tach still works - but un hooked it to run the bigger sunpro tach.
